TBar1977 4,481 Report post Posted December 15, 2016 (edited) Coach Sanderson said tonight that Hall tried to enter Midlands but was told they were "full". Hall is now trying to enter The Southern Scuffle, which I think will be no problem. Edited December 15, 2016 by TBar1977
pish6969 293 Report post Posted December 15, 2016 Crappy job by Midlands. Makes no sense on their part. Mark Hall puts asses in the seats. This ones a head scratcher. Must be some bad blood between Midlands and Cael Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 denger reacted to this
TBar1977 4,481 Report post Posted December 15, 2016 Yep. Mark Hall is a us for any tournament. I am certain he would make their 174 field better and more interesting. Their loss will be The Scuffle's gain.
Perry 1,423 Report post Posted December 15, 2016 The midlands is a shell of its former self and they're refusing high level wrestlers entry? Nice. Let it slip further into obscurity behind the scuffle and Vegas. 2 hammerlockthree and SC_Wrestling reacted to this
Billyhoyle 2,469 Report post Posted December 15, 2016 Is it possible they actually have a limited number of spots and are full? If so, would it be fair to show preferential treatment for a redshirting freshman just because he goes to PSU and is a top recruit? 1 xander reacted to this

No. they let people in last minute every year (ex Taylor last year). Plus many kids and teams drop. Bottom line. Midlands don't like Cael and Cael don't like Midlands Only a tournament with an axe to grind wouldn't let the #1 recruit wrestle Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

TBar1977 4,481 Report post Posted December 15, 2016 How does Midlands benefit from telling the #1 recruit in the country last year (some would go further than that) that the field is full? His wording was clumsy; I believe pish meant to write that allowing Hall would only have benefited Midlands, not disallowing him. Once you look at it this way his post makes sense. 2 pish6969 and lu_alum reacted to this

A tournament director has wide latitude to bring people in, so allowing Hall to wrestle should have been no big deal. Their loss is Scuffle's gain. tabenn 47 Report post Posted December 15, 2016 I am just putting this out there because this thread is about Mark Hall. the PSU vs Bing match last week----Hall dresses and was on the Mat for introductions----- I have had season tickets for 8 years, in this time I have not missed a home match. I have not ever seen a redshirt dress for a match...... Will Cael pull Hall's Redshirt? it would fill the undecided 174 spot and it could be argued Hall would increase PSU chances in March.
