Okla St vs Missouri

Recommended Posts

So much hype surrounding the 9pm EST PSU vs Iowa we forget about the Illinois vs tOSU dual starting at 7pm EST and the Okla St. vs Missouri dual starting at 730PM EST. These three duals will tell us a lot about where these teams are in the rankings.

Here is the same day results from the Grapple at the Garden where Missouri and Okla St. both beat Cornell:

Missouri could win at 125/133*/141/165*/184*/197*/285*

* = toss-ups

(I haven't taken the time to look at the Scuffle results or whether any of those who competed at the Garden against Cornell are injured). I still think Haynes can take Rosholt at 197 and listed it a toss-up.

Missouri 22, Cornell 12

125: Alan Waters (Missouri) dec. Nahshon Garrett, 8-5

133: Nathan McCormick (Missouri) maj. dec. Nick Arujau, 11-3

141: Nicholas Hucke (Missouri) dec. Mike Nevinger, 9-7

149: Chris Villalonga (Cornell) dec. Drake Houdashelt, 2-1

157: Jesse Shanaman (Cornell) dec. Kyle Bradley, 3-2

165: Kyle Dake (Cornell) dec. Zach Toal, 5-0

174: Todd Porter (Missouri) dec. Marshall Peppelman, 4-3

184: Steve Bosak (Cornell) dec. Mike Larson, 4-0

197: Brent Haynes (Missouri) win by fall Jace Bennett, 4:42

HWT: Dom Bradley (Missouri) dec. Stryker Lane, 7-1

Oklahoma State 21, Cornell 16

125: Nahshon Garrett (Cornell) dec. Eddie Kilmara (Oklahoma State) 9-3

133: Jon Morrison (Oklahoma State) dec. Nick Arujau, 5-0

141: Mike Nevinger (Cornell) maj. dec Julian Feikert (Oklahoma State), 16-6

149: Jordan Oliver (Oklahoma State) maj. dec Chris Villalonga (Cornell)

157: Alex Dieringer (Oklahoma State) maj. dec. Jesse Shanaman, 10-2

165: Kyle Dake (Cornell) dec. Tyler Caldwell (Oklahoma State), 4-1

174: Chris Perry (Oklahoma State) win by fall Duke Pickett, 1:05

184: Steve Bosak (Cornell) dec. Chris Chionuma (Oklahoma State) 5-3

Cowboys with the win, 18-16

This is how I think it will go down, with the only match that I am super questionable about at 141. After going through I think this dual will be a lot closer than I actually expected

I think Rosholt is pretty much well now. He wrestled Wilps very close and was very close to a winning takedown on Wilps in the third period and let him kick out.

In overtime Rosholt appeared to gas and got ridden out. In the final riding period he Pulled Wilps back over the top of him when he did not have control and gave up the fall. The match was a lot closer than the 6 points awarded for the fall.

Rosholt and Haynes should be a very close match.

I also think Kilmara from Oklahoma State has improved a lot and probably will not give up bonus points. He is still a little small for 125, but he is aggressive.

Think a tech/fall for JO is very possible and could be the deciding factor. He gonna crush Villalonga

That would constitute a criminal battery, since Villalonga won't be present and JO would be presumably attacking him on the streets.

Ha! Good one Vak, i had few drinks last night, meant to say Houdashelt....nothin like listing the wrong wrestler when making a prediction, my bad

you aren't the first guy to so err Bucks and certainly not the first one to blame John Barleycorn but you may be one of three to admit it. LOL Check Vak's stuff carefully there are a few lines he may wish to withdraw in retrospect and I feinitely would of mine.

125: Waters dec. Klimara 4-2 Waters was up 4-0 with about 15 sec left looked for a tilt and Klimara got a reversal

133: McCormick dec. Morrison 4-3? McCormick had a 3rd period TD to win

141:Hucke dec. Feikert dont remember much of this match.

149: Oliver dec. Houdashelt 4-2. Oliver with 2 TD in the first nothing else happened. Oliver seemed annoyed at the ref that he got him for stalling in the third.

157: Dieringer dec. Bradley 5-3. Good match
