nom 1,210 Report post Posted January 20, 2017 http://www.teamusa.org/USA-Wrestling/Features/2017/January/19/Large-US-team-set-for-fourth-Paris-International Seems like a real possibility in Paris. Dieringer, just out of college, lots of fire in the belly .... Dake coming down a lot in weight while recovering from injury. Most folks will pick Dake but I'm intrigued should this happen. Hoping it happens the finals. 1 Perry reacted to this
Coach_J 2,188 Report post Posted January 21, 2017 I like to see Americans separated in the brackets overseas but I agree this is a match-up to be anticipated--maybe in the finals???

WillieBoy 713 Report post Posted January 22, 2017 Can't David Taylor arrange it? He Owns this tournament. He has told the French authorities "don't change the name to the David Taylor Memorial Tournament" only because he is so modest.

boconnell 1,632 Report post Posted January 22, 2017 These are two of my favorites. I primarily just hope Dake is healthy and at full strength. If Dieringer can beat a 100% Dake he deserves it and he's a medal threat (along with a dozen guys around the world). If Dieringer can't, then it's a great sign Dake is back. 2 Coach_J and 2td3nf reacted to this
tbert 563 Report post Posted January 23, 2017 Of course if Dake loses, it will be because he's injured or the massive weight cut
madcat11 436 Report post Posted January 23, 2017 Of course if Dake loses, it will be because he's injured or the massive weight cut And if he wins it'll be barely, and Ringer will get him next time... Coach_J 2,188 Report post Posted January 23, 2017 I get the sarcasm but not seeing a massive weight cut. Dude was doing all he could to keep his weight up and still only weighed 185-186. I assume he'll get two kilos in Paris--just over 167. Cut will be no different than other 74-kilo guys.

wrestlingnerd 3,012 Report post Posted January 24, 2017 (edited) The massive cut thing is a bad joke but the injury excuse is not an excuse at all. Dake is the most injured Team USA Member of the last four years and it's not even close. Injury and associated rust are absolutely legitimate issues. WillieBoy 713 Report post Posted January 25, 2017 Even if he's injured? Remember that Jordan Burroughs won a world title on an ankle that would have had most of us still on crutches.
