Tom Brady Not Playing Sunday

Recommended Posts

Tom and his wife are going to Russia to discuss a business proposition. This is definitely good for Brady. Apparently when Brady signed his last contract it was established that if something that was good for Brady conflicted with a game, he would be excused from playing.

Also, rumor has it that the talented USC quarterback has been given permission to miss the UCLA game next year because he has committed to appearing live in New York for SNL

While we are at it - who was the first Green Bay Packers Quarterback to win a Super Bowl?

Then, what Quarterback won a pro football Championship the same year he won a Pro Basketball championship - both as a player?

What Pro Quarterback played 10 years, going 9-3 in Championship games? Yep, every year he played it was for the Title.

Brady's not playing?  What...is Tom Ryan now filling out the Patriots line up card?

More title games than seasons. Now that's impressive!

Sorry, 7-3. Should wear my glasses when I type.

Not Bart Starr. He never played in a Super Bowl game and Vince Lombardi never coached in one. Starr won two NFL-AFL Championship games with Lombardi coaching. "Super Bowl" was not attached til the third year, courtesy of Hank Stram of the Kansas City Chiefs. First "Super Bowl" winning QB for Green Bay was Brett Favre. We refer to all the championship games now as Super Bowl but it is revisionist history.

The winning QB who won a title in what would be the NBA(name change) the next year was Otto Graham. Led his team to the title game every year he played and won the title as a player in the National Basketball League for the Rochester Royals. Check out Graham's record. The guy was impressive. Wonder how things would have gone for Cleveland if he had Jim Brown in the backfield?
