Over/Under on will Cael ...

I don't understand.  Seeding is based on an athlete's resume (past results).  It isn't forecasting (which is what the media rankings seem to be).  So his seeding shouldn't change any because no one has been wrestling any matches.

If you mean that he may be done for the season, then I assume Penn State would rather have someone else fill in the spot than to not have an entry in the weight.  However, if he is injured and looking to prolong his recovery so he can get an at-large bid to the NCAAs, that is his right.

He is referring to the JRob/Dustin Schlatter precedent. Schlatter was injured his senior year and was going to just default out of the B1G to heal up for nationals. JRob told the seeding committee not to seed Schlatter since he'd be defaulting out.

If he knows he won't be wrestling (and he will before final seeding, its not a "game time" 5s before his first match), thus seeding doesn't matter to Suriano because he'll be taking an AQ, and doesn't forego the seed then is making the kid who should have the 2 take the 3 and the kid who should get the 3 will still be in the 4 on Gilman's side.  Giving up the seed would in no way affect Suriano for NCAAs but could have huge impact on other B10 125lbers.

+1. I like the idea of D Cruz in the #3 with Dance at #2. Suriano drops to anywhere from 4-6 IMO.
