Suriano Lots Better

Recommended Posts

Could it be some gamesmanship by Cael?  When he walked out to put on his ankle band, he did not put any pressure on his ankle.  Looked bad to me, but what do I know in this alternative reality era?

No.  You would want him to look healthy in order to preserve the seed.

Heard from someone who saw Suriano on PSU campus today and told me he was walking normally.

Here we go again! What did they do, transplant a new ligament from a cadaver? Something for PSU fans to consider when hearing "fake news" out of their rumor mill:

Fool me once, shame on you...

Fool me twice, shame on me.

I didn't think he'd be healthy at B1G, and don't think he'll be healthy at NCAA.

I would be more bullish on his injured chances were it not for his style. He is not one of those "clingy" wrestlers who can generate a lot of action from weird positions that don't require as much leg drive, and he is not enough of a monster on top to use mat wrestling as a crutch, pun intended. For Suriano to be Suriano, he needs that ankle badly.

The thing is... he's still going to be hard to score on.

He can beat half the guys on one leg. Can he AA on one leg though? I don't know about that. We'll see soon enough. He is a tough SOB so I'm not putting it past him but he is seriously hurt.

Gonna be a lot of viewers that first match. That's for sure.

I'm sure the seeding committee reads these forums and will now seed him #1. A healthy & well rested Suriano will definitely be seeded above a worn out/beat up Giliman who just went thru a meat grinder of a b10 tournament. ;_;
