wrestlingnerd 3,004 Report post Posted March 8, 2017 (edited) How the hell did Zahid wrestle that many matches as a freshman. Insane. Edited March 8, 2017 by wrestlingnerd
WillieBoy 713 Report post Posted March 8, 2017 What is most impressive right now is that each of them is ranked #1 in their weight class going into the NCAA Tournament. If each of them wins the Title I think it will be the first time all #1 ranked guys have done so. Oklahoma State is impressive in putting every wrestler in the Title match at their conference tournament. Eight of the ten wrestlers won. Not bad at all. Looks as if no one team will run away with it all this year.,

smittyfan 42 Report post Posted March 8, 2017 In all the years I've followed wrestling, I have never seen this happen this late in the season.
Fletcher 1,100 Report post Posted March 8, 2017 Based on what? Not disagreeing, just want to see the stats May have overstated it - I was focusing on these guys being #1 seeds rather than being undefeated. Seems every year we're lucky if even 7 of the top-seeds win their weight.
wrestlingnerd 3,004 Report post Posted March 8, 2017 Gabe Dean was 45-3 his freshman year. Nahshon Garrett was 43-5 in his freshman year. That is just insane. What is the record for most matches in a season? Those guys have to be damn close. Given their results, it's hard for me to criticize wrestling a sh-tton of matches, but when did they have time to practice? They're wrestling a match every other day at that pace. He was actually 40-3 and he was 22-1 from tournaments competing in the Scuffle, Binghamton Open, Cliff Keen and NYS Intercollegiates. Billyhoyle 2,480 Report post Posted March 8, 2017 History tells us at least three - probably more - will go down. If the over under is three, i'll take the under. Gilman, Retherford, Nolf, Imart, Dean, Cox, and Snyder aren't going to lose. That means I just need one of Valencia, NaTo, or Heil to win.
