Winning Without...

Recommended Posts

Minnesota (2001) famously won the NCAAs with no finalists, but ten All-Americans.

Has any other team won the NCAAs without at least one champion?

What is the lowest number of All-Americans on a winning team?

Oklahoma won the NCAA title in '74 with 4 AAs. They were Big 8 runnerup to OKst and had a so so dual meet season.

True... but they also had two champs.  There were only 6 AAs awarded back then and you had to lose to a semi-finalist to get pulled into the WB.   A lot less points to be had.
