Queens University. Queens College is in Queens, New York (about ten miles east of Madison Square Garden). Queens University, which is starting their program, is in Charlotte, North Carolina. Tiny difference.

depends on whether they are going to be distributors, or just sales associates

Nothing beats being in your late 20's and receiving "Dear *athlete*, good luck in your upcoming state tournament!"

I think Ken will do well in coaching.

It is curious that he accepted a position in Charlotte.  He has put in for some D1 jobs over the years so I would have thought he would be looking at the Davidson position if he were looking to move to the Charlotte area.

Will be interesting how he does and if he is looking to use it as a stepping stone to get into the D1 ranks.  He is on the older side to be making the jump from program to program which it takes to move up the ladder.

All jokes aside this is great news which I take to mean that wrestling is growing in the Carolinas. Greensboro College had added a D3 team a couple years ago (and had their first AA this year-a transfer from App State). Clemson next :-)?

Zero college coaching experience.  Not a hire for a serious DI school.

Great news.

Not sure why so many haters. He's a businessman raising a family. Grew up in wrestling. He knows nutrition.

We're all annoying. I know I am.

What do you consider a serious D1 school?  Sure, the Penn State job was a reach when he interviewed for it but what about the PSAC schools?

My understanding has been that one of the issues in him getting hired at a D1 program has been that he owns camps and small schools are dependent on camps for revenue (which doesn't go to the coach) and they saw his camps as a conflict of interest.
