113 Champ Ty Smith scored 16 straight points in less than a period to win 16-6. Reminds me of a Penn State wrestler when he runs back to center and gets set to re start.

I have set aside funds to have six Green Bay Packers be my pall bearers, that way they can let me down one final time.

126 Mattin OH 8-1 over Konrath. A correct throw in this one!

Not a big fan of the application of correct throw there. Mattin basically hooked Konrath arm off a collar tie, spun in a half circle which lifted him maybe 2 feet off his feet. Paul lands hips down and squares up to avoid giving Mattin a chance to spin behind or turn him after, which may have given them enough to call it a correct throw, but this instance likely isn't how most people want to see it applied. I'd much rather see it applied when you are able to at least create a lift from standing that elevates your opponent body over your hip.

Hats off to Mattin though he controlled most of the match even without the correct throw call.

Escobar from AZ. He dominated pretty good there. Like his acceptance speech too!

Artalona just knows how to find a way to win matches in Fargo.

David Carr OH vs. Tyler Dow from WI. Carr overwhelmed Dow a little there, but WI has some nice wrestlers here. Props to Askren.

Joe Lee IN vs Kharchla from OH. No match. Kharchla not able to go.

Lee and Kharchla work out together, I'd guess they weren't ready to put their friendship on the line just yet.

Carson did have some back issue near the end of his final match yesterday while trying to turn a leglace. Not wanting to aggravate that more in a 3/4 match may also have been a factor.

Brooks MD over Hidlay PA 13-3. Brooks kept throwing him. The last one looked like Cenzo vs I Mar with the inside trip.  Hidlay looked a little shocked there at the end.

Wholabaugh from FL took 3rd over IL by virtue of 11-0 win.

Jacob Warner IL vs Miles Lee PA. Warner the Iowa recruit vs. Lee who has been wrestling only 3 years but is a pretty physical guy. Warner wins 11-0. Experience counts in this sport.

Warner at #7 overall is a joke.  He is right there with Lee and Fix.

Warner was recently interviewed and asked about his losing match against Kollin Moore at Jr. Worlds.  He admitted he choked and was none too happy about it.  Look for some good rematches in the next few years.

You gotta love hearing a guy that has yet to officially become a DI Student say he choked losing to the clear #3 wrestler at 197 and the favorite to win NCAA's this coming season.

Artalona may be one of the most slept on recruits in the country. I've read all about Sasso and B. Lee and where they might end up, but how about Artalona?

Couldn't agree Moore... ha!  Love the never say die approach, and the desire, but right now... and unless something earthshattering happens, 197 is Kollin's to lose.  Going to be fun watching him as Snyder's backup at 97kg next year.

He finished 6th at Ironman, which is low for someone that has a cadet and two junior freestyle titles. Willard talked about him on Pyles and Smalls Live yesterday, not quite calling him a freestyle guru, but coming close.

I though Sasso got screwed in both of his matches. How on earth do they not hit Artalona with passivity is beyond me. It was like 40 attacks to 0.
