Post-Fargo Recruiting: Whose stock went way up?

Recommended Posts

Now that Fargo (Freestyle) Results are in which college recruits stock when way up in terms of possibly getting a solid college offer? The incoming Juniors and Seniors outside of the top 5 HS rankings who were able gain solid wins (especially on the takedown battle) against multiple highly ranked guys.

Stock up

1. The hwt from SD who won cadets

2. AJ Ferrari from Allen TX

3. Anthony Artelona

4. Ty Smith

5. Miles Lee

I would list Carson Manville but he is probably #1 in his class already.

Guest Kingsland

read that Miles Lee had given a verbal to Millersville. Anyone know if that is accurate or if he actually signed with them?

I do not think Millersville is a done deal yet.

thanks Kingsland and that's kinda where I was going with it.....maybe he's still in play and given his performance, might be looking D1 rather than D2.

then again, maybe D2 and close to home is right fit for him.

Cassioppi's stock isn't way up after Fargo, it is the same. He was the 4th or 5th best hwt. prospect coming into Fargo, and nothing has changed. He remains the 4th or 5th best hwt. prospect.

Hate to agree with tbar, but he is correct.  Cassioppi definitely looked good and didn't drop at all, but Steveson, Parris and Nevills are absolute monsters sitting above him.

No one was close with Manville in Cadets.  How would he have done in Juniors?  Could he go with Escobar?

Jordan Decatur (Seasons) fall Carson Manville (Shakopee Mat Club), 3:40

don't think Manville and Escobar wrestled head to head at this though.

I would also put Cholton Schultz above Cassioppi as a hwt. prospect. They have met and Schultz won both times. Schultz is a 220 in h.s., like Parris, but he is a hwt. in college assuming he wrestles in college.

I only know of the Greco matches.  Did they every wrestle in Free or Folk?  I am really not a fan of basing them off of Greco results even at Heavyweight.

Well a year ago i didn't hardly here about Cassioppi. As of today he is your only junior triple crown winner. Folk, Free and Greco. Impressive. Regardless of what TBar and MSU agree on i feel his stock has been going up.

Been yes, since Fargo, no. Same place as when Fargo started.
