TBar1977 3,759 Report post Posted August 2, 2017 (edited) He's currently losing to a guy he's better than. Fix is absolutely better, but let's give the dude some respect. He has my respect as a true competitor, but his ankle looked fine to me. Edited August 2, 2017 by TBar1977
wrestlingphish 639 Report post Posted August 2, 2017 How is this any different from when Ruth defaulted out of his match with Amuchastegui and then came back and placed third? Was Ed faking it too?
LemonPie 1,368 Report post Posted August 2, 2017 (edited) Lol. Fix was still jerking his hand like it was "stuck" when the Russian released his wrist. Some gamesmanship from Fix. Was Ed faking it too? Beats me. Maybe Ruth wasn't concerned about getting tounge lashed by his coach as is what occurred to Khashalov. This isn't about Ed Ruth anyway, it is about one wrestler whose ankle looked fine. No more, no less. Edited August 2, 2017 by TBar1977
pamela 1,334 Report post Posted August 2, 2017 Wow, Fix made it look too easy. He just steamrolled his way through the bracket. Congrats on winning gold, that was well-earned.

PSUMike 440 Report post Posted August 2, 2017 1 win in the next 3 matches seals it for the US. I don't feel good about Deakin's chances against Baev but I feel very good about both Z and Gable's chances.

Shiraz123 611 Report post Posted August 2, 2017 (edited) The American looked 2 weight classes bigger than the Russian in the 66kg final, both taller and far more muscular. Seems there is a lot of hype on that Russian kid. For good reason after that performance. Edited August 2, 2017 by Shiraz123

Seems there is a lot of hype on that Russian kid. For good reason after that performance. Deakin looks massive compared to almost everyone. Kid must be hollow. He far outpaced expectations today. Keep the updates flowing boys. Traveling for work today and trackwrestling's mobile site sucks.
wrestlingphish 639 Report post Posted August 2, 2017 Deakin reminds me of Kendrick Maple. You look at him next to his opponents and have no idea how he makes the weight but apparently doesn't struggle to do so. 1 Housebuye reacted to this

TBar1977 3,759 Report post Posted August 2, 2017 Looks like Deakin lost 0-10 ... from Track. Any color on how? Thanks! The guy he wrestled is a great wrestler. He even beat the WC last month. His name is David Baev. Two td's, 3 leg laces. The TD's came from staying close to Deakin and getting a leg and spinning behind him. Guy has great instincts for his positioning. 1 nom reacted to this
