Junior World Freestyle Aug 1 -2

Gable is wrestling a conservative match. The Iranian isn't doing anything.

He is tired. He had a crazy match with the Russian earlier today. Still looked solid. The one point he gave up against Iran was a smart bail out. He went upper body realized he was at risk, and gave up the point instead of a potential 4. Smart wrestling there.

Gable is the future. That guy is incredible. Love Gwiz, but Gable takes the reigns within two years I think

Let's take a minute to thank Ryan Deakin for this title. Everyone else performed to expectations for the most part but his out of nowhere performance is what won it for the US.

And Mitch McKee! And Malik getting his first win at a world event I believe.

And Moore wrestling through a neck injury to get a bronze.

And Zahid for beating the guy who beat him last year.

And Daton for teching last year's world champ.

We outperformed in plenty of places!

Deakin may have been the biggest surprise however.

Yup I ageee. Gable is a smart tactical wrestler. Has many gears. The conservative appproach was the right one for that opponent in this day.

Feel a little bad for him still.  Part of historic Cadet and Junior teams and no medal.

He wrestled beyond expectation. Happy for him.

Crazy to think where we would be if Spencer had been at 50kg (I know he may have gone up, which wouldn't have impacted us. He or Daton would've won anyways at 55).

Congrats to Malik for doing his part. Must feel weird to be the only one not to medal, but he was a crucial piece.
