BigTimeFan 973 Report post Posted August 1, 2017 We need Georgia to win, right?
PSUMike 442 Report post Posted August 1, 2017 (edited) If the Russian wins here, that would put them at 26 by my math. A loss would be 25. 6 for 5th @ 50 10 for the win @ 60. 0 @ 74 9 or 10 @ 96. EDIT: Looks like they will get something @ 74 due to the Russian getting to repechage but I don't know how many. jmachinder 68 Report post Posted August 1, 2017 wrestlers earn team points for 7th-10th place so it's possible USA might get something at 50kg and maybe Russia at 74KG? Track is only showing the placers through the two fifth place wrestlers.
LemonPie 1,368 Report post Posted August 1, 2017 Wow! Who is that guy? Did not expect him to dominate the Georgian.
TBar1977 3,841 Report post Posted August 1, 2017 Musaev RUS won pretty easily. 3 TD's and a pushout to a late TD from GEO wrestler who beat Moore.
LemonPie 1,368 Report post Posted August 1, 2017 (edited) Pro tip: Unless Kyle Snyder is involved, don't ever bet against Russia at 96/97KG Edited August 1, 2017 by LemonPie

BigTimeFan 973 Report post Posted August 1, 2017 Hall really is a magician. Just watched his gold medal match. He is never uncomfortable and scores from any position.
BigTimeFan 973 Report post Posted August 1, 2017 The Russian who beat McKee is an animal. He is like a modern Belaglazov (Sergei, that is). I can't imagine who beat him.

spladle08 737 Report post Posted August 1, 2017 Do tell."2016 Junior World bronze medalist Daton Fix (Sand Springs, Okla./Titan Wrestling WC) drew African Championships gold medalist Salah Kateb of Algeria. Should Fix advance, he’ll have the winner of Afgan Khashalov of Azerbaijan and Salim Naim of Bulgaria. Khashalov is the returning Junior World champion at 55 kg and owns a Cadet World silver from 2014. Naim, who was second Khashalov at this year’s European Championships, finished seventh at the 2016 Junior World Championships. ConnorsDad 570 Report post Posted August 1, 2017 It's obvious Mark Hall is a fantastic talent. But does anybody else other than me think he is way too small for anything other than 74 kilos. Even if they had an 80 kg class, he's still one of the smaller 74s to my eye.
