2018 NCAA Champions Wish List

Post your list of how you would like the NCAA Championships to play out for the 2018 Season.

This isn't a prediction list, but a Wish List of who you want to see on top of the podium come March.

 

 

125 - Nick Suriano PSU/RU

133 - Nate Tomasello tOSU

141 - Anthony Ashnault RU

149 - Zane Retherford PSU

157 - Jason Nolf PSU

165 - Vincenzo Joseph PSU

174 - Mark Hall PSU

184 - Bo Nickal PSU

197 - Kollin Moore tOSU

285 - Kyle Snyder tOSU

 

After making this list... I realize I'm picking champions from only 3 schools... has something like this ever happened???

you "wish" for there to be 3 schools represented for all NCAA champions?  seems good for the sport.

I went through each weight and picked who I liked best at each weight. Its a coincidence that they all came from only 3 schools, not deliberate. With that said i disagree and dont think it would have a negative impact on the sport. If anything it would be a memorable result that could inspire other programs to thrive for.

 

I believe Gable's dominating run as Iowa coach helped grow the sport, one that other programs to this day are thriving ti replicate themeselves.

Ashnault would be neat. So would McKenna. Or Storr. Or Yianni. I can't pick.

Retherford (dominance is fun!)

Nolf or Smith - Nolf is my favorite wrestler to watch, but Smith has that incredible back story. Would love for him to live up to his father.

iMar - want him to go out as one of the best NCAA wrestlers ever

Zahid - nothing against Hall or Bojo, but Zahid is one of my favorites to watch

Martin or PD2 - perpetual underdog or crazy back story

Moore - fun to see his progression. Exciting wrestler

Purely a fan wish list(but, still have to have some semblance of skill to actually accomplish it):

 

125:Terao

133:Eicher(admittedly stretching my rule)

141:Storr-Would settle for Meredith or Ashnault

149:Oliver-But, I know better.  Maybe Sorensen pulls an Owings?

157:Pantaleo-Would settle for Kemerer or Smith

165:Massa-Marinelli would be cool.

174:Amine

184:Zavatsky

197:Beazley-Would like to see Jake Smith(WVU) recover from a heartbreaking injury last season.
