You don't need to have actually met someone to form and express an opinion about someone if there's public information out there about their previous actions and words. Most people wouldn't express there negative thoughts face to face and in person. It's a little thing called etiquette and tact. The anonymity of the internet allows people to express their true thoughts without the public backlash for having their opinions which is why you see that the internet world is nowhere near as progressive as the public world likes to pretend it is. I'll be willing to bet if many enemies on this forum met in person and didnt know each others screen id they would actually like and be nice to each other, myself included.
