Crotalus 463 Report post Posted August 25, 2017 I believe it's been speculated that post Olympic years are generally the most shallow, but I'm not sure if there's facts to actually back that up.I think it's because you usually see some great wrestlers retire after Olympic years if they don't have another 4 years in them. Some weights might have thinned slightly compared to the Olympics due to having 8 weights, but I don't think we lost many top competitors.

Housebuye 2,219 Report post Posted August 26, 2017 Zain's leg series is great, but he doesn't have time to get it set up. They are stopping the action faster than american freestyle refs. Not a criticism, just interesting to note
bigmik 218 Report post Posted August 26, 2017 Well the closest we came to winning the team title was in 2003 and 2011. That would be both right before the Olympics. I don't think it is true much. Yes some greats do retire but I think the level is still the same no matter the year!! Yes it is true. And the U.S. won the team title in '93.

bigmik 218 Report post Posted August 26, 2017 Zain's leg series is great, but he doesn't have time to get it set up. They are stopping the action faster than american freestyle refs. Not a criticism, just interesting to note They stopped his turk too fast. I'm not sure why he didn't get more time.

Peso 331 Report post Posted August 26, 2017 I thought 2 and 2 also. Guy was sneaky tough with his defense...and then exposed us for the early lead. Jordan had to reach down a little, but no problem.
