Billyhoyle 1,691 Report post Posted August 26, 2017 He will learn from it. I doubt it happens again. Painful lesson, but Zain will grow. I hope so. Hopefully he focuses mainly on free going forward like Snyder does. He can absolutely hang with the best at the weight if he gets more comfortable in this positions. cjc007 504 Report post Posted August 26, 2017 (edited) Get away from legs from top. The reversal point was huge for Batriov. Needs better coaching if he wants to win gold. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk Edited August 26, 2017 by cjc007

Billyhoyle 1,691 Report post Posted August 26, 2017 His coaches have produced Olympic gold. That isn't the problem. He needs to stop trying folk moves in freestyle. And start wrestling free moves in folkstyle. I want to see him hit some leg laces at NCAAs. 1 cjc007 reacted to this

What would they do? It isn't illegal, just a waste of time I guess

Housebuye 1,805 Report post Posted August 26, 2017 65kg is wide open. The winner of this match is a very likely medalist. The point swing is going to hurt. Not as much as the Gilman medal did, but we have to have medals from the rest of the guys most likely. Good thing they are all former medalists

I worry that the difference in the team race will be the extra second they gave Valiev and the extra second they didn't give Zain. Come on Nasiri!! Housebuye 1,805 Report post Posted August 26, 2017 Gogaev is dominating now. 3 unanswered takedowns.

I worry that the difference in the team race will be the extra second they gave Valiev and the extra second they didn't give Zain. Come on Nasiri!! The Valiev call is very possibly the difference. Frustrating. It was blatantly the wrong call. I was almost willing to give UWW the benefit of the doubt, until the President made it sound like there was nothing they could've done. Perhaps time the exchange during the replay, idiot. Now it reeks of corruption. Good work, FILA.

They haven't done very well in developing their talent on the freestyle circuit although their 2 time Hodge winner is a Twitter champion. wrestlingphish 537 Report post Posted August 26, 2017 Didn't wake up in time but sounds like Zain sort of pulled a Metcalf. Physically dominate your opponent but get out slicked and beat with freestyle savvy only to wear them out and ruin your chance at repechage. Would that be accurate? Would that be accurate?Fairly accurate, but less frustrating to watch than Metcalf. Zain has freestyle abilities, he was just up against a guy who has more of it. He has plenty of upside and will prove it

Billyhoyle 1,691 Report post Posted August 26, 2017 (edited) It's too bad that our most successful wrestles have to rely on an outside game/quick finishes and avoid scrambles. We simply don't have the feel for them like the Russians. Edited August 26, 2017 by Billyhoyle
BigTimeFan 857 Report post Posted August 26, 2017 Good morning folks! I admire you early risers. I just watched the Zain match on replay. I love his fight. It was so close there at the end. So close. Batirov looked tough as nails, though and Zain fought tooth and nail to the bitter end. He is going places. 1 cjc007 reacted to this
