Tofurky 596 Report post Posted August 25, 2017 Winner feeds into (most likely) Adam Batirov of Bahrain!
Peso 331 Report post Posted August 25, 2017 That could be a statement type match. Man, that's a tall order. I wonder if Cael is working with him in match preparation?

Housebuye 2,129 Report post Posted August 25, 2017 Tough first round match. I don't like that it isn't against a foreigner, but it is an excellent litmus test. Habat is solid, but if Zain wants a medal, he has to beat Habat level guys.
sgallan 592 Report post Posted August 25, 2017 After what Gilman did I am not going to bet against ZR. It is Worlds, you need to beat somebody tough at some point.
Buckxell 145 Report post Posted August 26, 2017 I'm going with the Zain pain train. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
IronChef 741 Report post Posted August 26, 2017 This is a tough one. On the one hand, nobody would pick Habat in a college match. On the other, he has more senior experience and a European bronze. I think Zain's talent and tenacity will win out, but nobody should underrate Habat.
DuckFor2 176 Report post Posted August 26, 2017 Zain v Batirov is the match up, Habat is in the way. Sent from my SM-T230NU using Tapatalk

hammerlockthree 2,041 Report post Posted August 26, 2017 btw it's hilarious this is being talked about sense Habat wouldn't be wrestling for slovenia if he had a choice.
PSUMike 442 Report post Posted August 26, 2017 Zain v Batirov is the match up, Habat is in the way. Sent from my SM-T230NU using Tapatalk Agreed btw it's hilarious this is being talked about sense Habat wouldn't be wrestling for slovenia if he had a choice. Sadly also agreed. Not a knock on Habat but he wouldn't make the American team.
Housebuye 2,129 Report post Posted August 26, 2017 Zain dismantled him. Habat looked good, but couldn't stop Zain from getting to his legs. I hope Habat gets pulled back in and takes a bronze
TripNSweep 470 Report post Posted August 26, 2017 btw it's hilarious this is being talked about sense Habat wouldn't be wrestling for slovenia if he had a choice. He had a choice. Nobody forced him to wrestle for Slovenia. There are several Americans wrestling for other countries/territories at worlds. Nestor Taffur is wrestling for Colombia. Franklin Gomez wrestles for Puerto Rico. We've had guys compete for the US who defected or came from other countries. If he wanted to go wrestle for another country because he can that is entirely his choice.
gimpeltf 1,521 Report post Posted August 26, 2017 You do realize that Puerto Rico isn't "another" country.
nom 834 Report post Posted August 26, 2017 Didn't he say other countries/territories?
gimpeltf 1,521 Report post Posted August 26, 2017 Didn't he say other countries/territories? You're right, I missed that. But it's not like as many of our guys wrestle for the US and then for the other place as compared to a lot from former "SSRs" switching around where they clearly never had an affiliation with the latter place (not saying TnS implied that)
