One of the best high school events of the year. Always has a few memorable matches.

Plenty of solid matchups today. Expecting at least a few upsets

McHenry beat Heinselman 8-7 with a TD at the buzzer! McHenry had led 5-3 in the 3rd when Heinselman threw him to his back to take the 7-5 lead, then an escape made it 7-6. McHenry then got a TD in the final couple of seconds. Awesome.

Fun match, last second TD to win it. 1 more second and McHenry loses with that reversal. Does he always act like a tool when he wins?

I thought it may have just slid up. But after seeing him adjust it to look like that again between period I'm convinced he's just making a poor fashion statement. Good thing that isn't part of the criteria.

McKee comes out on top in an awesome scramble in the 3rd to win it. I thought Howard had him twice in that scramble but a chin whip from like left field got him the TD. It happened so fast I couldn't even tell how he did it except that he seemed to reach behind himself to get it. I'd have to see that again.

McKee hit a super slick modified chin whip from a scramble. Was very very impressive.

Anyone like Ramirez to pull an upset here?

Hidlay wins in OT by FALL, then runs to the side of the mat and gets a HOAGIE!

looks like Ramirez had nothing left in the tank - went for a non-existent lateral drop. Hidlay almost gave up an unsportsmanlike penalty going into the third and got a pretty stern lecture from the ref for something. Ramirez had some absolutely incredible defense.

Brayton Lee beats Justin McCoy 7-3. # Td's to none. That was the first match where I felt the winning wrestler was a notch better than the non winner.

Teasdale is a 4x WNO participant. Did not know that.

Pat Glory beats Teasdale 3-0. Gavin had 6 or 7 low singles and Glory passed the ankle on every one of them. ESC in 2nd and then a TD off one of Gavin's shots in the 3rd was the scoring.

Teasdale's top ride so far has been pure stalling.

Teasdale goes down 3 to 0. Pretty crazy how good he is at getting in on legs but lacking the ability to finish. I'm sure Cael and co. can work on that pretty well. His mat game definitely left something to be desired.. Great job by Glory.

They mentioned that Glory committed yesterday to Princeton.

Not sure he lacks the ability to finish, as much as, Glory has a super ability to get into a scramble position. Glory even said he was anticipating the attack and I'd say he was preparing for the counter more than worrying about getting his feet back and possible being in a poor position he wasn't able to scramble as well out of. As crazy as it sounds some guys would rather dictate what position they want to counter wrestle out of rather than walking into a spot they can't control as easy. But yes I'm sure some time in a college room will help him clean his finish positions and better avoid getting caught up in a scramble as often.

Not a good day for Penn State's recruits. RBY goes down in OT.
