Who are you picking?

Bo had a come from behind win last week, but Bo does that. At Big10s last year he did the same, I think against Amine, and then beat Hall. Bo apparently has been working on his top game. That could work in Bo’s favor.

Zahid just avenged his only loss from last season. He looks unstoppable, especially on the feet.

The obvious pick is Zahid. Is anyone taking Bo?

My heart says Bojo

My mind says Zahid in OT.

I think we end the year with

1.Zahid

2.Bo

3.Hall

BoJo's toast.  Zahid and Hall have passed him.

Hmmmmm.  So, a finally healthy Bo isn't going to be better this year? When did Zahid and Hall pass him?

I would say they passed him last season. At the NCAAs, I wouldn't be surprised to see Zahid win big over Bo. Different talent brackets. Unless Bo has improved and attained a level of skill that he hasn't displayed before, I see him as being on the outside looking in. I believe Zahid has the ability to open Bo up, but perhaps maybe he doesn't yet have the confidence. Oftentimes young talented wrestlers are able to be easily thrown off their game when they wrestle powerful opponents, even if the opponent is very limited in wrestling ability. It's a sign of maturity and approaching an elite level of skill when a wrestler is able to consistently pick apart wrestlers that have one significant physical attribute surrounded by a relatively mediocre skill set. I still like Zahid to win very comfortably by the national tournament.

Zahid. He is still improving and has a great motor despite being the biggest guy at 174.

Zahid and Hall are on the cusp of being Senior level world class. BoJo isn't getting any better. Scores may be close but the the matches won't be as close as any score.

Supposedly BoJo has been wrestling through crippling injuries....

Bo Jordan is "very limited in wrestling ability" and has "a relatively mediocre skill set."

NCAA finishes so far: 3/3/2

You beat me to it. At worst he finishes 3rd this year. So 4 top 3 finishes while being mediocre/limited. That Tom Ryan sure can coach em up.

I really want to pick BoJo but it's just so hard to pick against Ryan.
I would feel better if I knew Bo and his wife had a babysitter lined up and on lock down for Sunday afternoon otherwise..... We all know diapers don't change themselves

Yes, absolutely. Is what I said hard to understand? I'm not sure what his non-1st place finishes have to do with this.

I think the thing I like the most interesting piece of this discussion is that we will get to see them wrestle multiple times throughout the year!!

  • I don't believe we will see Hall vs Zahid again until the NCAA's (someone correct me if I'm wrong)
  • we will see Zahid vs Amine tomorrow
  • Zahid vs Bojo on sunday
  • Zahid vs Bojo vs Amine in vegas (course depends on how brackets shake out)
  • possbily see Bojo vs Hall @ scuffle
  • Hall vs Amine @ dual
  • Hall vs Bojo vs Amine @ B1G's

What an amazing season of wrestling we will get to watch @ 174!!!

EDIT:  forgot to mention - this all only happens if everyone starts their studs at these duals.

They carry the same weight as Zahid's non-1st place finish.

Sure, however that has nothing to do with what I said about Zahid or Bo's wrestling talent.

People think that because iMar eventually caught up to and passed BoJo, other all-timers (Zahid and Hall) will as well. Don't know if I buy it, but I hope it's true.
