Saw some nice matches already. Chisko barely beat guy from, I think, Citadel. It was 5-4 at the end but Chisko had to get a TD and then he erased just enough RT to cancel that out as well.

I have set aside funds to have six Green Bay Packers be my pall bearers, that way they can let me down one final time.

Nick Lee against Brian Courney and winner gets yianni(assuming he wins).  Looks like the top half of 141 is tougher than bottom.  Is Lee a true freshman like Courtney and Yianni?

Yes.  Although he was in State College last January working out at the NLWC

Hmmm, Rasheed with a fall in 0:43; Darmstadt with a fall in 0:35.  The two are on track to meet in semis...

Nick Lee vs Yanni is set. They both crushed their opponents. Lee hammered Brian Courtney who is a good true freshman at UVA. Hope to see a good match.

Going into the last rounds - Cornell has 6 (Russo, Yianni, Chavez, Womack, Dean, and Darmstadt) in the finals + Arujau (FLWC), and 4 in the 3rd place match (Honis, Furnas, Galasso, and Dawkins).  Looks like semis losers wrestle for 3rd, consis end at 5th place.

Don't they have to do that due to the new restriction for maximum number of bouts in a day?

Opens have been doing that format for a while. It’s helpful more so now because of the match limit. It’s logical for early season opens and cuts out a consolation round from the time.

Don't work here no more. Happy now?

I love Nick Lee but Yianni is elite level. I was impressed as hell wit Verkleeren. A lot of people wrote him off when he signed as if he’d never see lineup. At this stage of game I like Verk over Berge

Yianni beat Lee 12-7 in the semis. Yianni won the tournament.

Yes, it was kind of fun to watch because although almost the entire match was wrestled top/bottom.  Alot of rolling around and almost funk between the two of them.  They have similar styles.  Darmstadt had a 2 pt turn at a point where Rasheed was almost out.  Darmstadt definitely controlled the top position and had quite a bit of riding time.

Rasheed did look like he twisted his ankle/knee but was able to continue.

Rasheed hurt in the first period. Could barely put weight on it. Throw this result out

Why? Darmstadt rode him the whole match.

Taking a long injury timeout doesn't negate a loss.

1) Never get involved in a land war in Asia

2) Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line

3) Never get into an extended top/bottom wrestling match with Ben Darmstadt

Rasheed should have tried to keep it as much on the feet as possible.
