Midlands Championships 2017 Tounrament

Does anyone know if BTN Plus will be streaming the Midlands Championships this year?  They have done in the past few years but are not showing it on the schedule currently. 

 

Flow says they will be streaming the event but I thought that was through their partnership with BTN Plus.

Eggum said Minnesota has 5 slots for Midlands and that Bleise would be wrestling there. Not sure who the other 4 will be, possibly McKee if he skips CKLV because of U23's.

Any chance Spencer Lee makes his college debut at Midlands? Based on past interviews, I think the plan is to assess his readiness at the end of the year. I would love to see Lee versus Suriano in the finals.

Last I heard Askren talk about it he was talking like he was going to be backing out of it.  Sad.  Would have been really cool.  Rowlands never sounded like he'd ever be in shape to compete.

Would the tournament allow the same school to enter 2 teams? I think it would be pretty cool if PSU brought the PSU "A" and the PSU "B" teams. Would be cool to see where an elite "B" team would rank.

 

Is the Scuffle lineup better than Midlands this year? That Midlands lineup looks pretty solid.

The days of post college guys who are really good showing up are gone. Askren is a lot of hot air - likes the publicity but knows he'll get his butt handed to him big time on the mat.

I would like to see Varner enter the Scuffle at 285 and take on Snyder in folk. I wish more old guys like Askren and Rowlands would come back for something like Midlands or the Scuffle. Old guy/open tourneys are a thing of the past for the most part.

The old guys who should show up are assistant coaches.  You can't expect Tom Rowlands to participate when he's been non competitive for 5 years.  He's not even remotely the wrestler you'd hope to see.

That video is over 5 years old.  The more recent Mocco vdocumentary he looked pretty shrunk down.
