BigTenFanboy 1,735 Report post Posted January 5, 2018 No he wouldn't. He already red shirted as a true freshman and he wasn't injured then (wrestled a lot that season). You need to have 2 years lost to injury to get a 6th year. What about Anthony Ashnault?
steamboat_charlie 727 Report post Posted January 5, 2018 If he wins BIG10s and is undefeated he will be the top seed Cruz will be undefeated returning champ.
pish6969 290 Report post Posted January 5, 2018 What about Anthony Ashnault? Ashnault is interesting case since Ashnault wrestled 18 matches his redshirt year, got hurt, missed 2nd half of season and then wrestled in Universities right after season ended I wouldn’t think that he’d be eligible for 6th year but Rutgers feels pretty confident he will get it. I hope he gets it because I’d like to see Ash get his dream Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 BigTenFanboy reacted to this
gimpeltf 1,625 Report post Posted January 5, 2018 Cruz will be undefeated returning champ. Irrelevant about the returning champ part. It's all about the numbers- Pct, RPI, Ranking. The coaches may use the returning champ part on their own but not officially.
ionel 1,456 Report post Posted January 5, 2018 He shouldn't be if Cruz is also undefeated. not only shouldn't but by criteria he can't 1 NYWRESTLER94 reacted to this
