If he doesn't, I think it suggests he won't wrestle this season. There is no reason for him to miss that dual if he is actually on the team.

well unless he is not yet down to 184.  Perhaps why he didn't wrestle Midlands - wasn't going to be able to weigh in low enough to then be allowed to drop down to 184 when needed.

I think you have it about right in that it may come down to HWT, whoever wins there wins the meet.  Should be a good one.

According to TrackWrestling, Downey is not yet certified. Unlike past years, you can practice without being certified, but you have to be certified to compete.

Picc dec Lee 3-0 OSU
Brock Mdec Glynn 7-0 OSU
Heil dec Happel 10-0 OSU
Sorensen dec Martinez/Lewallen 10-3 OSU
Kemerer Mdec Blaylock 10-7 OSU
Rogers dec Marinelli 13-7 OSU
Gunther dec Smith 13-10 OSU
Moore dec Bowman 16-10
Weigel dec Wilcke 19-10
White dec Stoll 22-10

Don’t know if PD3 is actually gonna wrestle that’s why i didn’t put him there otherwise that’s a likely win for Iowa. Maybe I’m a homer (NY guy) maybe i just think Picc can actually do it but based on style I’ll take my guy Nick over the stud freshman here. Because it’s in Iowa and because i haven’t been too impressed with Smith in a few of his matches this season 174 and White doesn’t seem like he’s going to just get pushed around by Stoll for 7 minutes these are the upsets of the dual that I’m calling.

I haven't seen how much Picc's wrestling has changed or improved since last season, but Gilman really took it to him the three times they wrestled and will probably help Lee walk into the match with a solid game plan. Jmo.

that’s a respectable opinion. I think Picc’s youth may have factored a little into his matches against Gillman. I’ve seen some improvements from Nick but also instances where he looked like he did last year

125:  Lee MD Picc

133:  Kaid Brock MD Glynn

141:  Heil DEC Happel

149:  Sorensen DEC Lewallen

157:  Kemerer MD Blaylock

165:  Marinelli DEC Rogers

174:  Smith DEC Gunther

184:  Downey MD Moore

197:  Weigel DEC Wilcke

HWT: Stoll DEC White

21-13 Iowa; if it's Bowman, I'm still taking him over the underwhelming Moore with Bowman at home, but obviously could see it going the other way as Bowman is no dominator.  Lots of close matches on paper like 165, 174, 184, 197, and HWT.  I think Lee is a solid favorite over Picc, but obviously it's always intriguing to watch Lee.  Sorensen is going to need to watch out, Boo is good and could pull the upset.

How could PD cube not be at proper weight? I’m sick of his pathetic theatrics.

I watched every one of the bearings carefully and Gilman just manhandled him. No other way to put it. Lee is not yet “man” enough to “habdle” Piccinini like that. But from what I’ve seen, I think Lee can turn him and that means a major is not out of the question.

It should be another great Iowa/Okie St match.  Okie St almost always wrestles Iowa tough so I am hoping the Hawks bring their "A" game!  By the way I will be sitting in the front row behind the Okie St bench!

So many people picking Marinelli

I think it’s a toss up but it is a pretty big upset on paper. Interesting.
