Missouri will be in the Big 12 once there contract is up with the MAC

I sure hope so.  The Big 12 schools were more worried about their butthurt when Mizzou left for the SEC than they were about the well-being of the conference.  Besides OSU, Big 12 wrestling was a joke for the most part after the tigers left.  But now that they're bringing in UNI, and ISU is looking up with their new staff, adding Mizzou could make the conference relevant again.

The SEC logo thing is probably because Mizzou uses a templatized website and the footer is standard across all sports with limited options for one-off customizations. Pretty much all the power programs, and much of D1, seem to use a very similar site template, IA and provider (similar look and layout, same adblocker warning when you access the page, etc.) so it could be a content management limitation. If Mizzou moves back to the Big 12 for wrestling, don't be surprised if the SEC logo is still there.

Cal State Bakersfield is an affiliate member of the Pac-12, but displays a WAC logo on its wrestling webpage for probably the same reason. OTOH, Cal Poly athletics competes in several conferences, depending on the sport, so their pages includes all the conference logos because it's easier that way.

OkieChip is whining about the MAC logo not being on Mizzou's singlet, not their website.

Missouri  has 8 top seeds?  Is that out of ten like the other conferences?

Yes.  McGhee got the low seed that he has earned at 125, and we still have no legit 285.

Flynn got the 1 seed at 165, but only because that's the weakest weight in the conference.  Only 1 AQ spot at 165.

Mizzou could qualify 9 if McGhee actually decides to wrestle, but after 2 years of regression I don't see that as likely.

Mizzou set the tournament scoring record last year with 6 champs.  Hopefully they break it again with 7 or even 8 this year.

McGhee, even wrestling like crap, only lost by 1 to the 4 seed and by 1 in OT to the 1 seed, so he really doesn't have to improve all that much to qualify.  Hope he decides to go out with a bang.

NIU with only two guys getting a top5 seed - a third and a fourth.  The rest are all bottom three, ugh.  Things were looking up when they had three people in the bloodround last year, losing Bleise was a tough one.

Agreed.  I came away from the MAC tourney last year impressed with NIU's program and the fight their wrestlers showed.  This year seems to be a regression of sorts, but maybe things are still trending in the right direction.

Losing Eicher and Bleise to Big Ten schools was huge to be fair, those two at 141 and 149 makes NIU pretty darn tough in the lower weights.  Then again, there's the question of why NIU is losing their top young guys to other schools.  They lost their top recruit to Va Tech awhile back as well after his redshirt year, name is escaping me.  Guess that's not exactly an exodus but not a good trend...

It's a shame NIU hasn't been able to keep their top guys from transferring.

CMU also got hit bad by that bug, when a pair of past qualifiers decided to leave (at 125 & 133; ugh!)   Corey Keener is starting at Penn State and Brent Fleetwood is redshirting at North Dakota State.

ODU also lost one of the better wrestlers, who decided to grad transfer to Michigan.    This wrestling season, at any rate, Big Ten teams filled in some holes at the expense of quality starters that left MAC schools.

Well, while the B1G's were dominating discussions Mizzou quietly set a scoring record in winning the MAC again.  7 champs and in all likelihood 8 qualifiers (Marriott will get an at-large at 184).  And 5 of those 8 are ranked in the top 4 at their weights.  I know they probably can't win it, but 3rd is a very strong possibility.
