Rutgers struggling

Recommended Posts

Gross was a football player that they plugged in. Mulligan a freshman.

Correnti is redshirting, and is good. The rest of the lineup is fine, especially considering they’re missing Ashnault.

HaHa...One Program that is NOT struggling is Rutgers...They have over 2,000 seaon ticket holders and average around 4,500 paid fans per match... Sundays match against Penn Statate has been sold out for weeks (8,500)...Season has had it ups and downs but future is brighter...Have to think there are a couple Programs wishing they were struggling as Bad as Rutgers!

They're struggling with success. That's a good thing!

With all the programs out there, Rutgers certainly is not one to pick on.  I see them continuously getting better with the level of HS kids in NJ, NY and Pa.  Still need to keep the NJ kids home and mix in some studs from Pa and surrounding states but overall, when they brought Pritzloff in, they have picked it up.

Rutgers program is in good shape, now they have to earn it by winning something. As I see it, right now they have one top notch wrestlet in Suriano and one low to mid AA in Lewis.

They would get trounced by a top 3 school.

Has there been any finalized news that he's not returning to the mat this year?  Will he qualify for a medical redshirt? or has he already?

And just how many outside the Top 3 would NOT get trounced by a top 3 school?

Lehigh. They beat Michigan who at the time was considered 3rd, and they gave PSU a battle. The point  was that while RU has the program in ascent, the team itself still has a lot of room for improvement. They lost to Nebraska and would lose to a lot of other teams right now as well.

How on earth did they let Mekhi Lewis leave the state?

His teammate Glasgow originally signed with RU but ended up at a prep grad school this year.  I hope eventually makes his way into the RU wrestling room.  Think he is just as talented as Lewis and will have similar success.

this to the nth degree.

rutgers has created a special environment & fanbase out east.  with the addition of suriano, and the upward trajectory (IMO) I think you will start to see more big name recruits considering RU as a real possibility, even outside their immediate area.
