Looks like Cox was up 6-2 in the 1st period but then lost 8-7.

GENO PETRIASHVILi LOST!

The opinions and views expressed in my posts, are intended to promote Russian international styles wrestling and international wrestling in general. Please excuse misspellings, misunderstandings, or misinterpretations. I am doing my very best to communicate in English, but it is a work in progress. I speak several languages, but I am still learning context, culture, and local tradition. I love USA and I am doing my best to be a great ambassador. Thank you for understanding.

Pertriashivilli lost 4-0 to Ukrainian who was one well built dude.  Last 30 seconds things got kind of chippy and Petri looked like he gave Khotsianiyskyi a head butt which caused a ruckus and opened up Khotsis forehead to a bloody mess.

I thought Cox looked great in the first period but then seemed like he gassed out.  Gave up several step outs in the second round which cost him the match.  Sharifov was 2012 Olympic Champ and still looks good.

Dieringer looked great against Hasinov in finals.  Congrats to Alex.

wow, Sharifov looked pissed in the 2nd round and just crushed Cox, scoring at will.

I would like to give a Congrats to all of our wrestlers, but one in particular, Riley Lefever, a 4x D3 Champ for Wabash, now training with the Nittany Lion Club. He got a Bronze medal at this event and beat a two time World Bronze medalist in Pavlo Oliinyk, formerly of the Ukraine and I guess now wrestling for Hungary.
Which brings me to my next comment, it must be really super hard to win now days with all these wrestlers moving to all these different countries.

Is Sharifov the same guy who David Taylor beat 12-2 at the World Cup?

FYI Cox match is at about the 4:54 mark. He didn't do much in the last minute, despite being behind.
