Grecojones 84 Report post Posted March 4, 2018 Perfect score on ACT and just wrecked the Big10s! Love this kid. So, depending on what happens with Big12 finals(Heil over Merideth), can he get #1 seed?

nom 984 Report post Posted March 4, 2018 He made such a big decision to leave Stanford in order to do better in his wrestling career. I had a pit in my stomach with his loss to Thorn. Looks like he is coming on strong!!
jeffr_ideal 216 Report post Posted March 4, 2018 Who would have thought at this stage of the year, that he could be the only National Champ this year for Ohio State. He was the only #1 seed at Big10 for tOSU. Really like what I am seeing from him. He probably has the most complete game than anyone on the team. tigerfan9311 223 Report post Posted March 4, 2018 I wouldn't crown him just yet. Has he beaten Meredith? Eierman? Heil? Yianni? Carr was ranked 11, McKenna won 13-0. Mason Smith of CMU is ranked 10 and Eierman embarrassed him 24-9 in less than 5 min. McKenna is wrestling well, but I've seen zero evidence he can beat any of the top 4 guys yet. Aviator12 196 Report post Posted March 4, 2018 (edited) Uh he just beat #2 Jack who has wins over some those you conveniently just mentioned Tigerfan. Obviously you are an Eierman fan and McKenna is bringing noise you don’t want to hear. Edited March 4, 2018 by Aviator12

tigerfan9311 223 Report post Posted March 4, 2018 Forgot about Jack. Until this year he had Meredith's number. I'm not worried about noise from McKenna. This weight is insanely tough, no doubt. If Meredith beats Heil again tonight, I guess McKenna would deserve the 4 seed, but that's probably his ceiling.
jeffr_ideal 216 Report post Posted March 4, 2018 Moore was also #1 seed at 197 Correct, sorry. For some reason I thought he was #2.

I wasnt crowning him anything. I was just saying his rank in the Ohio State lineup is near the top, nobody would have thought that even two months ago. Not saying he is going to win NCAA's, but he has a good shot.
tigerfan9311 223 Report post Posted March 4, 2018 All I know is I'll be rooting for Heil tonight, that's for sure. If he wins, Yianni will be on the opposite side of Eierman.

tigerfan9311 223 Report post Posted March 4, 2018 And Jack didn't win the conference, so I think McKenna is seeded over him. I agree. If Meredith wins tonight - 1- Meredith, 2-Eierman, 3-Yianni, 4-McKenna, If Heil wins - 1-Eierman, 2, Yianni, 3-Meredith, 4/5 Heil/McKenna not sure. wrestlingnerd 2,779 Report post Posted March 5, 2018 Meredith has really upped his game this year in terms of consistency. He deserves the #1 ranking.
BaldwinKnowBest 19 Report post Posted March 5, 2018 McKenna seems to have trouble with the funky, scrambling types... a la Thorn. 141 is loaded with these types of wrestlers. Even with the #1 seed idk if he can win it all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
silver-medal 670 Report post Posted March 5, 2018 McKenna is a different wrestler since beating Lee. He's doing a very nice Logan Stieber imitation.
meluvwrestling 26 Report post Posted March 5, 2018 McKenna is a different wrestler since beating Lee. He's doing a very nice Logan Stieber imitation. That is such a bad comparison, not even close. McKenna is methodical in his shot selections, Stieber shoots at a much higher clip.
