klehner 397 Report post Posted March 5, 2018 I would definitely take McKenna then! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Yianni was a straight-A student, by the way.
Flying-Tiger 615 Report post Posted March 5, 2018 McKenna is a different wrestler since beating Lee. He's doing a very nice Logan Stieber imitation. Yea, I thought Lee was a bad match up for him, similar to Thorn. Seems like he has been on a roll since that win. Will be interesting to see how he does against some of the other top guys but right now I wouldn't count him out against anyone.
Stl 52 Report post Posted March 5, 2018 The thing that I think has really helped McKenna is scoring early. McKenna is so solid defensively and then not having to chase an opponent to score puts him in a better position to win. If he goes down early and needs to score to come back, it makes it very difficult against guys who can scramble like Meredith, Eierman, or Yianni. NJDan 590 Report post Posted March 5, 2018 Watching Yianni at the EIWAs, he looks so much better than Meredith. The competition, I grant you, is not as good as Meredith faced.
steamboat_charlie 727 Report post Posted March 5, 2018 McKenna had a great tournament, and has looked amazing as of late, but let's not pretend he won a tough bracket just because it's the Big 10. Seeding has to be: 1 - Meredith 2 - Eierman 3 - Yianni 4 - McKenna 5 - Jack 6 - Heil

The one where you only get a short period of time to answer them all.

Aviator12 196 Report post Posted March 5, 2018 (edited) Let’s also not forget McKenna just RECENTLY dominated then #2 Jack 6-2, who has wins over many of the top guys listed. The Big Ten results are just part of the equation. McKenna is on fire no doubt about it. Edited March 5, 2018 by Aviator12

Aviator12 196 Report post Posted March 8, 2018 Love that McKenna is opposite Eierman and Yanni. Although Meridith is the #1, McKenna did beat Meridith at Cliff Keen last year 3-1 so not only does he have past success, he’ll be familiar with his style. He’s gotta a tough quarter again with Jack but obviously just beat him as well 6-2. Jack has to get past a red hot Brent Moore though in round of 16, who just beat Jack for the ACC championship. Housebuye 2,144 Report post Posted March 16, 2018 McKenna wrestling like he did in 2016 - great for tOSUHe needs one more win. I think Ohio State has a good shot at the title as long as McKenna places 6th or higher. Not a lock by any means, but that’s the minimum.
