mattchristensen112 53 Report post Posted March 8, 2018 Hey everyone, I am thinking of trying to create a pick'ems bracket for NCAAs using Google Sheets and javascript, but wanted to know if anyone has a template already created in some form. Anyone ever try or have anything? Thanks!
pamela 1,334 Report post Posted March 8, 2018 There are websites free online bracket generators that are super easy to use. Generating the wrestleback brackets might be tricky though. Anyway, you'll get a bunch of options by Googling for bracket generator.
merr6267 18 Report post Posted March 8, 2018 Check out Hawkeye Report and look for the "Interactive Bracket" thread, or follow this link. https://iowa.forums.rivals.com/threads/interactive-bracket-download-link.224938/#post-5220486 This is not mine. It belongs to LutherAce. Ace, if I'm in the wrong here, I apologize, but I think your work is too good to not share. Phill

Anyone ever try or have anything? Thanks! I do one every year using google sheets. I have to update it and put in the wrestlers. I can send you a copy when it's done if you'd like. 1 mattchristensen112 reacted to this

So do you just manually check the correct picks and manually drop the wrestlers down into the losers bracket?
merr6267 18 Report post Posted March 8, 2018 It does it all for you if you simply put a score in each match. A pin is 30 points. 1 mattchristensen112 reacted to this

Sorry, just one last question, does it have functionality to check picks against the real result and track points like a March Madness competition? BigTenFanboy 1,790 Report post Posted March 8, 2018 It does it all for you if you simply put a score in each match. A pin is 30 points. I went through the spreadsheet and everything works in regards to the team scoring EXCEPT 157.
BigTenFanboy 1,790 Report post Posted March 8, 2018 (edited) Found the issue. On the wrestlers section at 157 are not listed with their correct teams. Edited March 8, 2018 by BigTenFanboy
BadgerMon 226 Report post Posted March 9, 2018 Regarding this spreadsheet, and Excuse an old duffer for asking, but do you have to copy and paste the winning wrestler's name down to the next bracket? I was hoping that I could just pop the mouse a couple of times and it would transfer?

The wrestlers automatically move throughout the bracket
