Tofurky 596 Report post Posted March 18, 2018 With all the moves taking place (and likely to take place), one guy that seems to really have had a significant impact upon his guys, but whose name never comes up, is Mike Grey. Might he soon be a guy who takes the reigns at a smaller school and works his way up to something bigger down the line? 1 de4856 reacted to this

nyum 235 Report post Posted March 18, 2018 Doubt it. Ithaca is a very fun community to be a part of.

NJDan 591 Report post Posted March 18, 2018 Among Cornell assistants, I think Hahn would get the first look.
MadMardigain 1,273 Report post Posted March 18, 2018 (edited) I’d put Grey at a small school and see if he can build a program. Hahn is ready to try taking on a larger school program.l to try and rebuild. Edited March 18, 2018 by MadMardigain

paboom 204 Report post Posted March 18, 2018 Question is....If Dake finally makes a world team and gets a gold...does he stop then and enters coaching or go until 2020? Taylor looks like he is going the Jeff Jordan camps east route which with a world gold, Dake is the #1 coaching prospect out there but has never left Ithaca. Burroughs has said he isn't interested in coaching. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
NJwrestlingguy 106 Report post Posted March 18, 2018 Grey to Hofstra might work. 1 Tofurky reacted to this

NJwrestlingguy 106 Report post Posted March 18, 2018 Among Cornell assistants, I think Hahn would get the first look. Hahn is the Associate Head Coach with a base salary probably pretty good. He's not going anywhere.
cornercoach 448 Report post Posted March 18, 2018 Among Cornell assistants, I think Hahn would get the first look. ...he would get first look, he weighs 4X as much...he'd have to carioca 3 steps to clear Grey ...
de4856 360 Report post Posted March 18, 2018 Jordan Burroughs certainly has the wrestling credentials, I don't know what kind of coaching experience he has, but I would think that if he were to be an assistant somewhere for a couple of years to learn all the administrative in and outs, he would be a top candidate. Tofurky 596 Report post Posted March 19, 2018 The thread isn't about Hahn. We all know that the dude has the creds to be a head at just about any large school out there. However, Mike Grey seems to be an effective coach with the guys he works with. I can't imagine being a second assistant, with the two guys ahead of Mike (seemingly) going nowhere anytime soon, would make him want to stick around, IF he wants the run of the house.
