Billyhoyle 1,295 Report post Posted April 6, 2018 (edited) This thing has been and continues to be a freak show. Mcgregor's assault is the latest example. The fewer wrestlers that sign up for guaranteed brain damage the better...Long term health/success wise, being a HS coach/teacher has better prospects and you're actually doing good for the world. Peso 179 Report post Posted July 25, 2018 I like it, not love it, but letting Lesnar fight again proves your point too.
Alwayswrestling 111 Report post Posted September 13, 2018 With out a doubt it has gone to more of just a money maker fights instead of who deserves a title shot. Giving Till a title shot whhen he missed weight his last two fights was a joke.
PSUMike 365 Report post Posted October 2, 2018 It's an avenue for talented athletes to make quick money while they still have the competitive itch. I love wrestling, I love MMA, and I train in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under a 2nd degree black belt who was also a D1 NCAA qualifier at a top tier program. Not everyone is cut out to be a couch and not everyone is content to let their career end after high school/college/international wrestling. Yes, there are major risks involved but everyone who steps in the cage knows that. If they are willing to put it on the line for my entertainment, I'll continue to watch. If I were set in front of a TV I'd be OK with being a couch, but my wife would beat the stuffing out of me.
