Jake Varner at hwt

Recommended Posts

Varner passed his first test against a 280 pounder top guy winning 5-1 over Nelson. Varner is actually getting a bunch of turns in his three matches against the big guys. I thought would be his weakness.

They must have played with the scale since the limit is 125kg (275 lbs)

Nelson had worked hard to bulk up for his senior season when he was reportedly 6'4" 260lb.

I would be surprised if he wasn't at least that now.[/quote

Sssshhh quiet don't tell the smart A's just above that he could be 270. They will make fun of you.

You can think he weighs whatever you want, but that doesn't change the fact that he is under 260.

True, but he has the leverage and length to compete under 260. What he doesn't have is the strength, lungs, and pressure, to make up for the weight disadvantage (#Kyle Snyder).

I think his lack of foot speed hurt him more than those other attributes.
