Brian Smith has been here for 20 years now and other than possibly Cornell, there is no better example of a team rising from obscurity to national prominence in the last 20 years, although Mizzou has now been a top team for over a decade. Not to mention PSU, their meteoric rise to the top goes without saying. You weren't talking to me but maybe gowrestle didn't mention them because he already thinks Mizzou is an elite program. I certainly do. Maybe not PSU elite, but Mizzou has been pretty damned salty for a good time now. They certainly have my respect, plus they aren't doing it with superstars. Jack Spates and Brian talk frequently. I find it hard to believe the topic never came up. I just don't think he was interested in going anywhere else.
