Aviator12 205 Report post Posted November 20, 2018 (edited) As an Ohio State fan it’s hard for me to not include Kollin Moore in the finals against Nickal. Until I see different however, I think the cut down from 97KG back down to 197 will not be easy for Kollin, and he will drop a few matches he should win in the process due to his cardio .....and this will land him on the same side as Nickal come NCAA seeding. I think he drops a semifinal match to Nickal and takes 3rd against whoever. Edited November 20, 2018 by Aviator12

pish6969 293 Report post Posted November 20, 2018 Ok MSU. This is for you. Lee over PiccininniSuriano over GrossYianni over EirmanJordan over AshnaultNolf over HidlayCenzo over MarrinelliHall over ZahidShak over MartinBo over MooreCassar over Gable PSU wins by a landslidetOSU 2ndIowa 3rdOSU 4th Now I know PSU won’t have 6 champs but I do predict all of these guys in the finals and I will not pick over my boys. I did that once with Cenzo his freshman year and I won’t do it again. Obviously the Hall pick is pure homerism as I feel Zahid a step ahead but I’ll go with Hall. I do believe Cassar is the real deal and ready to take HwT by storm. Stoll don’t scare me as Nevills beat him twice when healthy and you saw what Cassar did to Nevills. Shak over Martin? Again, Martin is the clear favorite at this point, but I’m going with Shak, he’s a dangerous man. I believe Flo has him ranked 5th and he’ll eat up Parker, Zavatsky and Venz who are all ranked ahead of him at this point. Housebuye 2,417 Report post Posted November 20, 2018 For those of you saying Martin vs Rasheed... It would be interesting that all of Martin's finals would be against a PSU guy

MSU158 1,980 Report post Posted November 20, 2018 Rasheed is too 1-dimensional to go with Martin. He is otherworld deadly with the cradle, but I just don't see him able to use that against Martin. I would truly be surprised if he keeps it close with Martin. Don't forget, Martin dominated 184, except for Nickal. Rasheed is NO Nickal.......

For sake of consistency in this particular exercise, I will just bump Suriano up and say Suriano over Fix. 141: Possible and Likely. Yianni over McKenna was the pick. 149: Possible and Likely. Ashnault over Jordan was the pick. 157: Possible. Deakin needs to wrestle much better than he has to get there. Nolf over Deakin was the pick. 165: Possible. Marinelli' draw is brutal and Marsteller could benefit from it. Joseph over Marsteller was the pick. 174: Possible. This obviously calls for a big upset. But, Amine wasn't too far behind at B1G's. Valencia over Amine was the pick 184: Parker got screwed at B1G seeding and it carried over to NCAA's. One dumb mistake against Venz cost him, while Rasheed wrestled 1 guy all season to get his seed. The bottom half of this bracket is hot garbage. But, I will insert ZZ as the finalist, losing to Martin, out of sheer contempt. Martin over Parker was the pick. 197: Possible and likely. Nickal over Moore was the pick. 285: Seeding at this weight made very little sense. Parris at the 5 getting full credit for his win over Dhesi(6 seed) but they ignore his 37 losses to Jennings(12 seed). Anyway, I will say the winner of Dhesi/Steveson wins NCAA's. However, the brackets do give him a crazy chance at my very original Steveson over Stoll prediction. Sadly, I don't think he is nearly in the shape necessary to pull that off. So, I say Dhesi over White to stay consistent with the brackets based on my predictions. Edited March 14, 2019 by MSU158

MSU158 1,980 Report post Posted March 26, 2019 So, how did I do: Before even knowing for sure what weights guys would be at or who was or wasn't redshirting or who would be injured: 125: Lee over Fix-Had the Champ, but Fix ended up at 133. He DID take 2nd! 133: Gross over Micic- Gross essentially missed the season due to injury. Micic took 3rd. 141: Yianni over McKenna- Called it. 149: Ashnault over Lugo- Called the Champ. Lugo fell 6 slots short, but one of those was Jordan dropping down. 157: Nolf over Hidlay-For all intensive purposes that WAS the championship match. However seeding didn't allow it. 165: Joseph over Wick-Joseph fell a slot short and Wick 2 slots. 174: Valencia over Amine-Valencia wins it, but Amine missed by 1. I just HAD TO pick him over Hall! ;) 184: Martin over Parker-It did happen in the consi-semis, but Martin would take 3rd and Parker 5th. 197: Nickal over Moore-Nailed it 285: Dhesi over Stoll-This was by far the hardest weight to pick not knowing if Dhesi would come back or if Stoll's knee was shot(pun intended). Dhesi took 5th and Stoll R12. After weight classes and redshirts were established(but before injuries officially ended seasons): 125: Lee over RIvera-Missed the runner-up by 1 with Rivera taking 3rd. 133: Gross over Suriano-Suriano officially going 133, bumped Micic down 1(but really 2 with Fix going 133 as well). 141: Still nailed it 149: Ashnault over Jordan-Nailed it! 157: Nolf over Hidlay-See above 165: See above 174: See above 184: See above 197: See above 285: Dhesi over Steveson-Steveson SMOKED him! Dhesi with 5th Place and Steveson with 3rd. Finally, after brackets came out: (Very little adjustments on principle, except for when forced due to both being on the same side of the bracket) 125: Same 133: Suriano over Fix-Nailed it! 141: Same-Nailed it 149: Same-Nailed it 157: Nolf over Deakin-Got Nolf, but Deakin took 6th. 165: Same 174: Same 184: Martin over Zavatsky-If anyone got this one right, they should have been betting in Vegas. Martin took 3rd with Zavatsky taking 8th. 197: Same-Nailed it 285: Dhesi over White-Stuck with Dhesi for consistency, but nailed the runner up.
