The Banner is going up in Rec Hall for the 2018 NCAA Championship as I type this.

Listening to Jeff Byers and he states that Tim Rooney will take the mat today at 133 for Kent St. We'll get some interesting comparison with his match with RBY vs his match with Iowa's Austin DeSanto the other night. 

Kyle Conel did not weigh in today.

125 Schnupp with a pair of TD's leads 4-2 after 1 period. Period 2 Ferri ESC, Ferri TD, Schnupp ESC, Ferri TD. Ferri leads 7-5. Period 3 Schnupp ESC, Ferri TD, Schnupp ESC, Ferri TD (RT point), ESC. Ferri wins 12-8. 

Schnupp remains a little undersized.

133 RBY vs Tim Rooney

Rooney noticeably bigger, RBY noticeably quicker. Blast double for a TD for RBY. RBY riding Rooney tough. Rooney bellies out, RBY turns him to his back and almost had him flat. 4 points exposure. 6-0 after 1 period. 

Period2 - RBY had a certain TD to Rooney's back halted for PD. OK, a go behind for RBY for a scoring TD. Now riding again. A second stall warning for Rooney. 9-0 score now.

Period 3 - Rooney chooses down. RBY riding tough again and he turns him over and there is the FALL!! Score would have been 13-0 at time of fall. 

I expected the lightening quickness, what I did not expect was the 3 minutes of tough riding and the easy turns from RBY. He completely dominated Rooney.

141 Nick Lee vs 

Lee wearing a brace on his right knee which does not seem to hamper his mobility. There is a TD and near turn at the edge. A pair of tilts and nearly the fall as time expires. 9-1 after 1 period. Period 2 is more of the same. The TF comes with an 18-2 score early in 3:44.

149 Jerod Verkleeren vs Cody Kimara

Kimara got in with a body lock but Verkleeren went double overs and won the position. The FALL came at 1:20.

157 Jason Nolf vs Androscy

Nolf just got 4 TD's in something like 20 seconds. The KSU wrestler keeps having to go to the side for attending. Blood time. Another TD, some hard head snaps. Score was 12-5 when Nolf hit a brutal cross face cradle for the FALL in 2:29. Nolf then flips his own self up from his back to his feet. He looks as athletic and just sheer brutal as ever.

165 Vincenzo Joseph comes out to CCR Bad Moon Risin'. Like it. Vs. Isacc Bast

Period 1 Joseph leads 9-3 after 1 period. 3 double legs, one outside single. Period 2 - Joseph had a 12-4 lead and was just doing what he wanted on top. He sucked him back with a claw ride but he switched it up a little and hopped over Bast and got the FALL about half way thru Period 2.

Time of the FALL was 1:13. TD and he had him from the jump.
