Nebraska vs Wisconsin

Recommended Posts

Fun dual so far, Bono has his guys scrapping out there.  White was dominating in neutral after the first and inexplicably took down against Wick.  Ridden out, gave up two stall points and changed the whole complexion of the match.  I know he wrestled and beat him last year, probably while escaping, but why on God's Green Earth would you take down in that situation?

Labriola goes down as well...

If you are a fan, duals matter. Giving the home crowd something to cheer about. When your school hosts and Iowa, Penn State, OSU and the like and somehow does well or steps it up big and wins - it matters. To the fans, it matters.

It is all about the NCAA Tournament only to those with a legitimate shot at placing near the top. Most of the fans will never, ever attend a National Championship session. They will attend a dual or maybe even a tournament. Duals matter.

How did Wisconsin lose a team point? At intermission they had 8 after Wick's decision and Christensen's pin.

According to someone on the WI wrestling forum, in his excitement of Christensen's win, Bono was jumping up and down inside the mat circle.

Looked like Nebraska is lacking discipline with some of their weight loss.  White starts out hot and fades fast, Moisey did that last weekend and Red might fall in that category.  Some might not have been practicing much, appears to be some injuries.  Hope things get better, some are not looking to good.

On the other hand, Venz, Schultz, and Berger have looked solid.  Labriola has only had one match that he didn't look great.  Team has potential.

So none of this had to do with Wisconsin wrestling well?
