Undefeated wrestlers remaining 125 lbs. — 157 lbs.

Recommended Posts

It's not too early to pay attention to the war of attrition occurring within the ranks of the undefeated, especially since the rate will likely increase soon with the upcoming holiday tournaments.   And it might also provide a sense of who is left standing in the hunt for the Hodge Trophy.

List of undefeated wrestlers updated.  Let me know if I missed someone or something.  We will see some attrition after the Scuffle, especially at 133 and 149.

By my count, there are only 33 remaining wrestlers across all ten weights in D1 who are undefeated with a couple of questionable inclusions (e.g., Weigel who is injured; Stoll, who has only wrestled three times; Gravina, who has only wrestled once; Gross, who has only wrestled once).

Perhaps you were prescient.  Oliver just lost 6-5 to Jordan.

If that's his first loss, then I must be thinking of another dude. I remember seeing the brackets from Midlands or Scuffle (can't remember which) where a wrestler named Oliver lost in the quarters or semis. Heck, probably was another weight even.

For seeding purposes - wouldn't Vito Arujau be considered "undefeated" at 125?  His one loss was at 133 lbs to team mate Chas Tucker.

kind of a different discussion, but yeah if he ends up undefeated at 125, and Lee wins out (ie beats Pic, beats SeaBass at Big Ten) could Arujau be #1 seed at 125? Mueller could very well be unbeaten heading into NCAAs too.

Big IF for Arujau, he still has a meeting with Patrick Glory on the schedule - that's no sure thing either way IMO.  But if he wins that one, Vito has a pretty good chance to run the table the rest of the season.

guess he could very well hit Glory twice before NCAA tournament, dual and EIWA finals. agreed, good match-up
