  1. 1. Both Jacobe Smith and Joseph Smith are entered in the 174 bracket at Reno TOC. Jacobe Smith is the #1 seed. Joe Smith is the #2 seed. Assuming they wrestle, who will win?

    • Jacobe Smith
      12
    • Joseph Smith
      13

Smith alluded to "both guys being banged up". In the semifinals, Joe tweaked his knee and took injury time.

You sure that was knee, thought announcers said and looked like banged his head/chin?

Thanks a bunch.  You'd think if JoJo was going to 165 as rumored he would have weighed in lower.  Greer at 194 means he is done at 184

Agree about Geer being done at 184 with that weigh-in.

Jo would still be several weeks away (late January) from competing at 165.

This all makes me believe that "the plan" for Smith & Smith is 174 & 184.

You make the finals, you wrestle - absent an honest medical forfeit.

If you don't, all points for the team should be taken off the board and a loss entered into the books for the wrestler who refused the match.

if it is both - losses for both, all team points for both removed and the Title is vacant - OR - the lower placers all move up in the standings.

If you are going to enter, you wrestle. Possibly suspend coaches for a time when they let this happen?

How do you determine what an honest medical forfeit is?

It’s a good thing no ones actually listens to your opinions and you just get to yell them into the abyss.
