Flo pro family plan??

Recommended Posts

I’m a Flo pro member and have 3 young sons. They all want to download the app and be able to watch Pro content on their phone. Do I have to buy a separate membership for each kid so I don’t risk getting ‘bumped’? Has anyone else dealt w this?

The site bumps me out all the time and I have my own membership.  I've called, written emails and Facebook posts several times and they have yet to fix it.

I have changed my password several times as well.  They always respond with i've given my password or not using good enough internet/browser.

Good luck!

You can watch content on as much as three devices at a time but they start throwing one off when you get to four. Also, that's for live events and I'm not sure when it come to just archived content.

I’ve been kicked off for having two simultaneously, even when there are two live events going on. Not sure if that is what is supposed to happen, but it does.

This is not my experience.  We can only watch with one.

Just watch it together as a family.  All of these streaming services have to deal with this issue, if they give an unlimited "family" service every higher school and college kid is going to share the access with all their friends & neighbors (maybe even some who aren't friends).  The company has to make a profit else there won't be any streaming.

How dare they try to make a profit! Watching stuff on the internet should be free free free!

I don’t have any other service that doesn’t allow for more than 1 stream. For example, Netflix allows for 2 and you can pay more for 4.

The company will make no additional profit by not offering a family plan. They can offer “2 streams at once” family upgrade for 20% more and people would pay. How many of those people would otherwise buy two separate accounts? Very few, as determined by all of the major streaming providers.

Flo is behind on this one. They are losing money by not doing this. They can still cap the number of simultaneous streams, but not giving an option to upgrade is hurting their business.

Upwelling is far more lucrative than signing new customers anyways. The costs to acquire an upsell is far lower.

Sling limits some of their package to 1 & some to 2 streams, and that is family acct.  Hulu limits to 2 simultaneous but only 1 thu what they call your home location: a PC or fire stick etc.  I wasnt aware that Netflix had live broadcast, we have acct but only watch movies on it.

While I don't disagree that a family plan would be nice and helpful, let's not act like people wouldn't use it for piracy.   High schoolers with a Flo plan will upgrade to the family plan for a few bucks a month and share it with all their teammates, then some would cancel.  Then they are out the $$$ of them each getting their own.

Are all of those accessing through the same WiFi?

If so, they are sharing the same IP address to access Flo.

Thanks. I don’t have Sling.

I have Hulu and have never had an issue, and I use roku, Fire stick, iPhone and my laptop browser. I think up to 2 is allowed. Wasn’t aware of the caveat.
