I defended CP on Twitter regarding the Teasdale thing, so there's my good deed for the day. As far as the term, hey, some people must really like to draw in the crossover crowd from bowling and pro wrestling. They can say it all they want, doesn't make it correct. Just nice to know they think about me so much when calling these bouts and writing their stories. It's comical now, so I get a good laugh out of it.

Saw that. He's a top notch wrestler. PSU guys will need to really bring it when he gets on the mat with them, which I predict will probably happen.

I hope we see Cassar vs white. It will give us a little bit more info about what Cassar vs Gable might look like

I am a big supporter of your work Jason. Ignore the knuckleheads.

And for clarity, I DO write a column as "The Scribe", but I am neither bitter nor the Scribe posting previously. Plas, make it to SA at the BBQ restaurant I work at and the Mixed Platter is on me.

There is room for only ONE scribe 'round here.

RULE XIV.

Pin Falls

1. Pin falls only shall count. (Flying or rolling falls shall not be considered.)  Any part of both shoulders held in contact with the mat for an appreciable length of time constitutes a fall. (By an "appreciable length of time" is meant for the Referee's silent count of three seconds.)

- From the first NCAA Official Intercollegiate Wrestling Rulebook (1928)

evidently the rule contradicts itself, perhaps why all knowledgeable wrestling fans now call it a "fall" as indicated above or a simple "pin."  Theres really no reason to be redundant or speak with a repetitive stutter.  ;)  :)
