ConnorsDad 569 Report post Posted January 22, 2019 California - Doc Buchanan is fast becoming one of the toughest in the country. In addition to all the California schools, this year you had Montini Catholic, Bergen Catholic, Lake Highland Prep, several tough schools from Oregon, several from Colorado and California National Powers Buchanan, Gilroy, Selma, Clovis, Clovis North, Oakdale and Rancho Bernardo. BaldYianni 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2019 The Mile High Challenge (AZ) is a fantastic west coast tournament that is only getting tougher every year. Showcases some eliteĀ talent with schools from AZ, CO, UT, NM, TX, CA, NV and WI. Some names that come to mind of wrestlers that have competed there over the past couple years are Jesse Ybarra, Roman Bravo-Young, Danny Vega, Quentin Hovis, Josh Kramer, Brandon Courtney, Marcus Castillo, Jason Holmes,Ā just to name a few. Henry Cejudo gave out the awards a couple years back too- pretty cool. One of the smoothest- run tournaments we've taken our guys to. Tourney champs get a custom belt buckle too. Would go along pretty well with a Doc B cowboy hat if you ask me. Might have to start hitting more tourneys out west- might end up collecting a full on cowboy outfit by the time postseason rolls around.
TripNSweep 465 Report post Posted January 30, 2019 I would say in Arizona it's Flowing Wells.Ā Mile High is coming up, but Flowing Wells is really the big one in Arizona.Ā There have been lots of people who've said winning a Caballero, the trophy they give to the winners, is much more difficult to win than a state championship.Ā Ā
