westfan 1 Report post Posted February 5 Injuries and redshirts. 125 - Milhoff has been out since December. 184 Norfleet out injured since December. Redshirts: Anthony Valencia, Cade Belshay, Jacory Teamer, Tanner Hall. Sprinkle those guys throughout the lineup and duals such as the one they just lost to Stanford probably aren't even close. Hopefully with all of the above (except Millhoff who's a senior) back and a top notch recruiting class they will have the depth next year to avoid what's happened this season. Housebuye 1,805 Report post Posted February 5 They are loading up for next year. Next year they are a podium threat. 125: Courtney or Milhof if he gets a year 133: Kline isn’t bad, but maybe Cleveland Belton. Chlebove is likely at 141 but would make the team better at 133. Same with Raimo 141: Navante Demison/Chlebove/Raimo 149: Jacori Teemer/Maruca 157: Teemer/Maruca 165: Shields/Anthony Valencia 174: shields/Anthony 184: Zahid Valencia best guess - needs to prep for Olympics anyways so has to go up 197: Norfleet 285: Tanner Hall thats 10 qualifiers, 3-4 returning AAs, 1 former champ, and I’d say 6 serious AA threats
steamboat_charlie v2 710 Report post Posted February 5 They're looking for a podium finish next year. On top of that, their incoming recruiting class is loaded. Looks to be the foundation of a perennially competitive team.

westfan 1 Report post Posted February 6 At 141 Demison hasn't shown anything in his two years at ASU. I don't see him contributing. He can't beat Crooks and is usually 2 and out in open tournaments. It's amazing how many California state champs the Devils have on their roster who haven't been able to get it done at the next level.

He can come in right away and have a legit shot to be high on the podium 133 Raimo... If Milhof gets a year, put Chlebove here. AA shot either way 141 Busiello... Like at 133, cant see anyone but a true freshman here 149 Maruca... Its Teemers if he stays down. Just give us one great year Maruca. 157 Teemer... AA wherever he decides to go 165 Shields...AA 174 Anthony... Think he has been waiting for this 184 Zahid...Top of the podium 197 ?????... Dont think Norfleet is big enough or strong enough to go here HWT Hall.... AA Also have Schultz Coleman Munoz and Good coming in the will RS and fill out the top of the lineup in 2020. Anthony has definitely been waiting to go 174. Zahid will have no problem at 184. Norfleet is going to have to go 197 if he wants to wrestle. He's not beating Zahid. PSUSMC 78 Report post Posted February 8 Belton (apparently) has a shoulder injury and his HS senior season is done. He may be good as new next year, or may never be the same wrestler. Regardless, as Zeke has done with most freshmen, he probably redshirts. Zahid "doesn't have to go up." If he wins 174 this year and can make it again next year, that's likely where he is no matter what Anthony is doing.

However, ASU has nobody inline for 197 yet again in 2019

If anything Milhof has regressed since leaving OU. Cody Brewer is the one who gave him an edge when he was at OU.
