stp 542 Report post Posted March 24, 2019 Was cheering for the Jersey Shore in that match. GFY Smith, and your B.S. edge of the mat game plan.

Stalling isn't just some 5 second rule break, it's also not trying to score. Fix spent 9 minutes not trying to score.

It's not like it's impossible to take Suriano down, guys nowhere near as good as Fix have done it.
LJB 1,453 Report post Posted March 24, 2019 as a certified fix dik rider, good for suriano... i was happy that lame stall point in ride outs didn't decide it and also happy an accidental headgear grab didn't decide it... he had four fingers deep but didn't appear to pull it... whatever... for the record, i have no problem with any of their matches... this is the way it goes when you are that evenly matched... Interesting thought, could very well have been the difference actually in that being called or not. No fro there and it’s much more clear, if it happens

russelscout 1,573 Report post Posted March 24, 2019 I think the ref, like the rest of us just wanted that match to be over.
stp 542 Report post Posted March 24, 2019 Grabbing the head gear to push the head away (not pulling down) is completely legal. 1 dabearspack reacted to this
BigTimeFan 953 Report post Posted March 24, 2019 Fix blew it. Plain and simple. The match came down to a momentary lapse of judgment. But something has to give.

He did allude to the refs screwing him over early in the match so maybe his new sob story was that he had two wrestle more than seven minutes to be a champ because the world is against him. KCMO2 595 Report post Posted March 24, 2019 Inadvertent on the headgear and it had no impact on the takedown. Get over it. 1 TBar1977 reacted to this

Grabbing the headgear in any way is not legal doesn’t matter what you do with it. Sure you can palm it and push but you can’t grab.

VakAttack 2,602 Report post Posted March 24, 2019 (edited) Did Gibbons just say that Yianni is the most fundamentally sound finalist in the field? Yianni is a lot of things, but he's not even the most fundamentally sound wrestler in this match. Edited March 24, 2019 by VakAttack
