They had a club party last nite and they stopped updating the individual scoring after Zahid won 174lbs. You'll notice that neither Drew Foster or Bo Nickal got their 4 points for winning 1rst place, so Foster would need to go from 17 to 21 and Bo from 23 to 27. It remains incorrect as I type this, but I'm sure they'll update it later today. I think it's correct now, except I think they should have gotten 1 pt. for their wins after the bye giving Bo/Nolf and some others 1 more point. Tournament Team Scores 2019 NCAA Championships Points Per Individual Bo Nickal (Penn State) 27 Jason Nolf (Penn State) 26 Zahid Valencia (Arizona State) 25 Spencer Lee (Iowa) 24.5 Anthony Cassar (Penn State) 24 Nick Suriano (Rutgers) 23 Mekhi Lewis (Virginia Tech) 22 Anthony Ashnault (Rutgers) 21 Drew Foster (Northern Iowa) 21 Yianni Diakomihalis (Cornell) 20 Joey McKenna (Ohio State) 19.5 Tyler Berger (Nebraska) 19.5 Jack Mueller (Virginia) 19 Kollin Moore (Ohio State)

They stopped that 4 years ago I believe.

nhs67 1,226 Report post Posted March 27, 2019 I am a bit perplexed by the criteria. A lot of folks are citing that career plays a factor in choice. So a 1xer in David Taylor deserved it over a 3xer in Kyle Dake? Balogna. Nickal earned it based on this season. He went up and got business done. He is the best in the business right now. I believe the pig tail match is a "wrestle-in" of sorts. By so doing, the other 31 wrestlers do not receive a "bye" and are essentially wrestling in the 1st round. 1 fadzaev2 reacted to this

In 2016, career played a big factor. Retherford was ahead on pins, dominance, etc, but Dierienger won it based on his third NCAA title.
