Crazy that Ashnault has more votes than Nolf in the fan vote.  Glad that doesn't mean much but does show that RU has a nice active fan base.

It's also because PSU fans are splitting between NIckal and Nolf.  If someone else had replaced either Nickal or Nolf the PSU guy would win this in a landslide.

It shows why the fan vote doesn't count for much.  I personally like Nolf better than Nickal(slightly) because of his career in pins and how easy he has made things look(other than Hidlay this year).  However, I had to vote for Nickal based on this years numbers(more pins and his dominant wins over Moore).

I think when it was all said and done Nolf ended up with 60 pins and Nckal had 59. Nolf did end with a slightly higher bonus rate (86% vs 77%). Personally I go with Nolf based on his 2018-19.

Nickal = 30-0, 18 F, 3 TF, 6 MD (90%)

Nolf = 31-0, 15 F, 5 TF, 6 MD (84%)

Career accomplishments are very similar for Nolf and Nickal, but in the NCAA finals Nickal pinned the guy that beat him as a freshman and also beat Gabe Dean (after moving up into Dean's "weight".

Those stand out.
