Logan Stieber retiring

Recommended Posts

I won’t be surprised if he gets the itch again. But I do believe his best days are behind him and he’s making the right choices for himself and his new family. I wish him the best. Been a fan of him since DT beat him at Ironman.

How about right-wing and white-wing nuts like yourself?

Oh, so you think it's OK to attack people based on their skin color. Your name isn't Jim Crow, is it? Stop trying to separate people based on race.

You are a nut case.

Well, I wish Logiebear all the best, and hopefully everything works out for him and his new bride. And with Logan's retirement, I guess this really means that 65k will be wide open. With GHulk, back down at 65, we should see an interesting collision between him, Zain, and J.O. as well as our other top contenders. It should be fun to watch.

Per flo: "Upon graduation, Stieber promptly made the 2016 world team at 61 kg and won gold in a stacked world championship bracket."

Not attempting to diminish any of Stieber's accomplishments, but wasn't 2016 an Olympic year and most of the studs we're either cutting or bulking to compete in an Olympic weight class? Was it still stacked? I took a look at the bracket and I don't really recognize any of the names outside of Chakaev.

besides Chakaev, Bajrang, Lomtadze, Tumnebileg and Ehsanpour are all well-credentialed studs. Gvarzy never panned out the way AZE hoped but he was wrestling well at the time. Diyazbekov and Shuptar are continental medalists. Topal is dece. the only country that didn't really a guy as good as you'd expect was Japan, and their montser crop of light weights was still developing in 2016.

there are where too many tweeners internationally for 61 to not be stacked, and Stieber had to go through Ukraine, Russia, Iran and Georgia to win gold. I stand behind calling it stacked. no regrets.

We've had a lot of great wrestlers in the past ~10 years, but very few are willing to just let it fly like Stieber--a complete offensive powerhouse.  Add on to that how humble he is, and just being an all-around good dude.  Impossible not to root for him.

I think the couple of years he spent down at 61kg were seriously draining on him, both mentally and physically, and probably took a lot of joy out of the sport for him.  Glad he's moving on on his own terms.  I don't think being a college head coach really suits his personality, and I'm not sure he would even want to be one, but I do think he could be a great Olympic coach or assistant if he wants.

100%.  History was kind to him in that regard.

You could list a name of "studs" in an NCAA wrestling bracket-that doesn't mean it's stacked for a world championship. Obviously those guys are all elite wrestlers because they compete at the world level and have won some medals, but none were able to qualify for the 2016 olympics. It wasn't a stacked bracket-it was the opposite.  The best guys from the weight competed at the olympics at 57 or 65. Most weights in a world championship have prior world or olympic champions in it.

You are the f-in nut case, T-bar.  Anyone who reads your posts can determine that and lots of folks have pointed it out previously.  it's clear from your reference you don't even understand what Jim Crow refers to or the history of the laws and practice.

No one attacked your "color".  There are however plenty of links between right wing politics like your own and white nationalism.  But I guess you live in an echo-chamber and bubble full of confirmation bias and can't even see that.

TOP DEFINITION

When one is wearing a thong/g-string, they sit down, it sticks out, and you see a T-Bar
"Johnny, Johnny! look over there! IT'S A T-BAR!"

DMM , youi are a left wing lunatic who has had many threads deleted. You have demonstrated that you can't keep your damn communist/socialist lunatic rantings to yourself and you keep spewing them out here like the garbage they are. You seem like a certified racist to me.

Stop playing left wing nutcase politics with this board.

When did he mention politics? A lot of people on this board are so insecure. Whenever they see anything that could possibly signify anything other than right wing beliefs, it's leftist lunacy to you guys. All he did was say that going vegan will likely pay dividends down the road for his health and that factory farming is bad for the animals, two things that aren't really controversial unless you live in a complete bubble.

Veganism and being against factory farming = communism. I'm TBar, the politics-knower.

If he wants to create his own forum titled “MEAT IS MURDER!!!!” then I have no problem with it.  But virtue-signaling on a wrestling forum? Sorry, no one wants it

This is just it. The thread was about Stieber's retirement. A good subject that dmm just couldn't leave stand alone. No, he used to interject a washboard argument for PETA, which has nothing to do with Logan Stieber's wrestling career. Its just dmm's personal brand of left wing political; clap trap that ruins a sports forum.

Then when called on it he reverts to the decades long trope "but what about white (fill in the blank). He mas as well have called anyone who disagrees with him a racist. It is actually a political stunt that when you have nothijng better, just call the other person in the debate a racist. The left even calls black conservatives racists now.

I didn't immediately respond by throwing it back in his face, I gave him another post to prove who he is. Then I threw his own dirty scummy little political ploy right back in his left wing nut face.

Many dozens of times in the past. He's made political, overtly anti religious, and anti white anti mid west cultural comments that have resulted in numerous threads being deleted. And his comment about animals WAS political. It was half PETA, but also even though not stated as such, in sympathy with that Ocasio Cortez Congresswoman from the Bronx who wants to get rid of Cows, albeit for different left wing reasons.

Right here in this thread when he injected race. This clown even evoking white nationalism on this msg board shows you just how far in the tank he is. I think he actually believes their is a white nationalist hanging out under every rock.

DEFan79 asked dmm to keep his political opinions off the board and dmm's response to DEFan79 implied DEFan79 objected to Stieber being Vegan, when that was never the issue. DEFan's objection was not to Stieber's choice of diet, it was to dmm bringing politics to the board. dmm is too blind or simply too unwilling to understand this basic simple request. Keep politics off the board.

dmm is a left wing lunatic who can't keep his mouth shut and just stick to wrestling. I just want him to go to a political msg board to ease his many pseudo psychological political anxieties and leave this wrestling board to WRESTLING.

You are the one who brought politics into it. Nobody was going to jump into a political discussion until you started.

Also, "anti-white" lol. Do you need a safe space bud? People like you are the most sensitive, paranoid, and victim-hood seeking people in this fine country. Always have to have a bogeyman to blame for their unfulfilling lives. Used to be Obama, now it's AOC coming to steal all our cows. I wish you could see how insane you look when you post that stuff. Might as well put a tinfoil hat on at this point.

It isn't about sensitivity, it is about appropriateness. This guy dmm too often adds political commentary to what he writes, and that commentary is totally inappropriate on this board. Bringing race into a thread about Stieber's retirement was pathetic. Take it somewhere else.

Hate to see him hang them up so soon. I think he kind of packed it in after he got married. Women claim another one.

Nah.  He knew he was done when he got married.  He's known for awhile.  Or so I think.

These were my thoughts as well. Dimwitted flo uses the word "stacked" and in doing so, ironically, draws attention to the fact that, by WC standards, it wasnt anything special.

Surprised they haven't posted a video of Desanto or Suriano reacting to the retirement news yet.
