Question about Flo Nationals

Recommended Posts

It is being used as the qualifier for the Pan-Am team, so they would be going off the UWW age groups.

UWW Cadet age group is 2002-2004, so 15 to 17.

UWW Junior age group is 1999-2002, so 17 to 20.

Thnx. Guess the one kid is young for his senior yr of h.s. and the other is older for his Jr. year of h.s.

Which kid is a UWW Cadet and going into college?

UWW Cadets can't turn 18 at any point during the calendar year. This athlete would have to graduate in 2019 and not turn 18 until (at the earliest) January of his freshman year of college. Haven't seen that too much in the athletics world before.

I just re checked and realized the kid I thought was a senior is actually only a junior, so both kids are current juniors in the 2020 class. This fully explains my confusion. Never mind. My bad.
