ShakaAloha 426 Report post Posted May 8, 2019 23 hours ago, Jimmy Cinnabon said: It seems that Cornell the answer currently. Yianni, Garrett, Dake are all top notch. 2nd place is probably Ohio State - Snyder, McKenna, Stieber (until recently). 3rd is probably a tie between Iowa, Nebraska, Mizzou and Ok State. Gilman, Ramos, Eierman, Cox, Green, JB, Dierenger, etc. The big question is why isn't PSU better....sure they have Taylor (pray he isn't severely hurt) but other than that no real freestyle studs. Until recently Retherford seemed to be their best hope but Yianni is otherworldly. Not trying to be a jerk, but your comments are ridiculous. Have you only been following wrestling for the last four years?

Mr. Peepers 25 Report post Posted May 9, 2019 Or we could try to address the question objectively. Using https://www.teamusa.org/USA-Wrestling/Rankings/US-Senior-Rankings/FS/2018/April/13/TheMat-MFS-April-rankings for rankings, I made up a spread sheet with all 10 ranked guys from every class. I awarded 10 points for a #1 ranking, 9 for #2, etc. This may not be entirely fair, as it underrepresents lower ranked wrestlers, but I'm not a statistician and I don't really know any other way to proceed. Adding everyone up, I came up with the following: Penn State 73 Ohio State 64 Iowa 50 Oklahoma State 28 NC State 26 Cornell 25 Nebraska 25 D3 23 Minnesota 23 Missouri 21 Wisconsin 20 Illinois 17 Iowa State 17 Oklahoma 14 Arizona State 13 Northern Iowa 13 NAIA 11 Bloomsburg 9 No College 9 ND State 8 Rutgers 8 Lehigh 7 VA Tech 7 Northwestern 6 Boise State 5 Loch Haven 5 North Carolina 4 Maryland 3 Penn 3 Rider 3 SD State 3 Army West Point 2 Cal Poly 2 Northern Colorado 2 Michigan
BadgerMon 226 Report post Posted May 10, 2019 (edited) Please excuse omissions....don't have all that research time to do this right: Iowa- Banach, Banach, Lewis, McIlravy, Brands, Brands, Penrith, Davis, McCann, Campbell,Zadick, Zadick, Alger- about 23 medals Nebraska produced the Scherr Brothers, Jordan Burroughs and James Green. About 17 world level medals there. Oklahoma- Schultz, Schultz, Hodge, Wells, Metzger 17 medals Oklahoma State - Uetake, Smith, Smith, Blubaugh, Cross, Scott, Monday 16 medals Iowa State- Jackson, Gable, Sanderson, Peterson, Carr, Taylor, Varner- 14 world medals right there. Wisconsin had Rein, Hellickson, Kemp, Haines, Reinwand, Don Pritzlaff ( Two Tblisi championships in there as well) 10 medals Indiana State- Baumgartner alone has what- 10 ? Also, I'm not counting Tblisi, Jr World or Cadet World medals. Edited May 15, 2019 by BadgerMon
